Question about Nokia N73 Cellular Phone

1 Answer

LED Problem My phone was exposed to steam and a little bit of water but it was not soaked in water (like...I didn't drop it into water or spill water on it) Then for a short while the key pad was unresponsive. But it just works again in a few minutes. The same thing happened twice. Now whenever i put the battery in my phone, the blue LED on the bottom right side of the phone turns on (the camera and photo buttons) even when I did not turn the phone on. I took the phone apart but the inside is not wet. Is the circuit board short circuited? Should I get it fixed? I think this might use up a lot of battery power. If I don't get it fixed, is it still safe to use? Please help me fix it!! Thank you!

Spilled some water on my phone and now my screen wont turn on. everything else works fine but the screen wont turn on???

Like all water damage on electronics, it is critical to do the following right away: (1).Remove the battery to slow down the corrosion process. (2). Have someone remove the case to expose the circuit board. (3). Assess the damage. It's easy to see where the water/moisture is as you should notice a whitish/greenish deposit at the spill site.
If it's minor, you might be able to clean the damage and resume operation. Good luck, hope this helps.

Got a little water on a H881C phone...wont operated properly

Normally when electronics are exposed to water there is nothing you can do short of taking it to a professional for repair and even then there may not be hope for it. If it does happen (exposed to water) leave it off for several days put it in a bowl of rice. The rice may soak all of the water out. If you can remove any battery doors the sim or anything else easily taken apart this may help. The main thing is not to turn it on until you are sure the water is gone.

Good luck

I have a nokia c5 mobile, everytime i'm on the phone to someone the volume during the call is very low though the volume is maxed out. This did not happen before.

If you spilled water or any drinks or liquid on your cell phone, or if it was in the bathroom while you were taking a shower, it is possible that the audio is damaged. I spilled a little bit of water on my cell phone and had the same problem.

I dropped my phone and it could not on now

Due to hazard some phones are not working. If you dropped in water try with this steps.
  • Use cotton swabs to soak up water in crevices and on any fragile, exposed circuits. If you have dropped your cell phone in water, it is also helpful to disassemble it if you can and let all the parts dry separately.
  • If the phone will turn on, you can try to make a call to be sure it is working properly. If you put your water damaged cell phone back together and it won't turn on, it is likely that some water has gotten down inside the phone.
If dropped in floor, please bring it to service center for repair.

When someone calls my i phone I cannot hear them through the reciever. I can only hear them if I turn on the speaker phone. What should I do to reolve this problem?

ore than likely there is some dirt or even a little bit of water in the jack, which is what happen to me when i spill my drink on my precious, but nonetheless that's a simple if it was only a little bit. all you need to do is go to a local store and pick up a can of compressed air a spray a bit in the jack and try it out, it should work if it goes out again repeat i had to do this a couple of times but it works.

My iphone will not work. I have tried to plug it in the wall and in the computer but nothing happens. I have tired holding the home but and the on/off button but nothing seems to work. What should I do?

Your phone is in brick mode otherwise known as paper weight mode. This occurs when you drop it or expose it to liquids, but sometimes you just get a bad Apple (no pun intended-sorry folks couldn't help myself) Take it back to the Apple store and have them deal with it if your within warranty. Call the 1800 Apple service center and set up a fix ticket. You can get the # from

Apple won't do sh.t for you if they found out you dropped it or spilled water on it. They will just look the thing over and look for damage and look to see if the built in water sensors have been triggered. then they will hand the thing back to you and say sorry can't do anything for ya.

Dropped phone in water

SIM is probably bad or a little wet. but wait and let everything dry out and see if it works. Mine was soaked and the next morning worked fine. at least you probably won't have to buy a new phone.
