Need to know which color wire goes to which connector on the timer. frigidaire wiring diagrams

Hi garyab9ss, I appreciate your post!

It appears your inquiry is listed under Frigidaire Electric dryer and you need the wiring diagram. May I have the model number please? You can typically locate the serial tag (which lists your model number) on the upper front, as you open the door or on the right/left edge on the inside of the door. Also, please provide me the timer part number that you have in hand. With this information I can deliver the correct material to you. Thank you! - Z

Need help on putting wires back in place

Orange goes to Or brown goes to br and so forth. Look closely on the timer. Each terminal is marked and it is all color coded. From the looks of it this dryer is an autodry model. As long as the heater is in operation the timer moves on these. When the heating element is not energized by the control thermostat mounted next to the fuse on the blower the timer motor does not move. Until the dial reaces a cerpoint and then power is diverted and the motor goes on over to cooldown and finally comes to a halt. Their shoud also be a tech sheet that shows how to connect them also each wire had the coresponding leters as well on them. Look close.

Kenmore 68731 model 86873100 setting the drying to any of the drying methods, the dial does not move to automatically turn off the dryer.

You have a bad timer motor To verify you will get an ohm meter and remove the wires to the motor.
Check between the motor wires fer continuity. If you have continuity then the next test will verify if the gears are stripped on the motor. Apply power to the timer motor and see if it advances on its own. From looking at your model number I see nothing unusual about the timer.
to get to the[parts list I did 110.36873100. 110 is a the large prefix which ID's the dryer as being a whirlpool model. All kenmores ain't Whirlpool.

My dryer will not turn on. It has been actinig up for a few days. If i jiggled the timer dial it would turn back on. You can hear the timer working but it will not engage the motor. It seems to have...

correct you will need to unplug the dryer and access the top back panel there is a booklet in the top left corner, but anyways look at the timer for a loose or burnt connections, now if you take all the wires off take a picture write down what goes where as once you go to place the wires back they need to be hooked up right/correctly, hope this helps Tim

Kenmore dryer turn on no heat and timer will not shut off unless moved to the off position

I would suspect the timer itself. These have small button contacts and if they stick
they can pull themselves right off the flat spring. These timer buttons operate off
a cam drum and several of them operate the timer motor itself at various intervals.
The model and serial number is inside the door. and usually there are two
philips head screws to remove at the base of the front control panel. It should hinge back. If not, then the access panel will be on the backside of the control panel.
The timer will be
a plug in type so no issues with miswiring. The knob will either pull off or unscrew
(counterclockwise generally)
and beneath it will be two screws which hold the timer in place.
You can call a local appliance store or order the part online using the model and
serial number. Remember to shut off the breaker and unplug unit before servicing.
Hope this is useful.

Whirlpool dryer model #LER8620PWD serial #MS3630316. I need to hold down the start button and rotate the timed cycle knob for dryer to turn on .

Sounds like you have bad contacts in your timer. By holding the start button and rotating the timer you are just finding a good contact point and allowing timer to send power to the motor. The timer part number is 3979618 and will run you about 90 bucks. hope this helps

The timer was a little tough to get started sometimes, I'd have to pull the knob out and push it back in several times before it would start.

The start switch is going out. You will have to replace the whole timer on this model. Check the first 2 numbers of your serial number if it is 10 - 15 the part number is 33002855 if the first 2 numbers are 16 or greater the part number is 33002803. Please rate me after reading.

maybe call a generic appiance store other than sears, try maytag store. the knob pulls staight off and the timer nut is below. then take off the back cover off the control panel, sometimes those screws are on the front corners, sometimes hidden. take a picture of the timer wiring and tape and label all the wires before you remove it. unplug it first!!

what you can do is go to go to parts search and type in your dryer model number. it will show you all the parts that your dryer takes. they will show the timer that fits your dryer and just buy it.
