Question about HTC Touch P3450 Smartphone

HTC touch phone not working

I'm in Argentina and have bought a new chip that works in cell phones here but not my HTC touch. When I put the new sim into the device and switch the phone on it can't find a network. I have tried a soft and a hard reset but the phone just won't work. I can't even get to the phone options because the device won't recognize the sim, even though I know it works in another mobile device. Help! I can't call anyone.

My HTC touch phone was working fine until I added some software and now it can't find my carrier (ATT). I've tried soft and hard reboots but my phone still doesn't work. I've only had the phone for about 60 days. Anything else to try?

My girlfriend bought me an HTC touch from Spain but we couldn't change the language but I was able to use it with an Orange and talk mobile sim card. I now have the english version which initially did work but after syncing and connecting to my WI FI network it just says searching and cannot find any networks with either sim card. I have done a hard reset but it's still the same. Please help.

You kow how many second hand nokias you can buy for the same price as a new HTC???

Well plenty to really use them as a disposable phone.

with one HTC you only have ONE disposable phone which won't last as long as 10 second hand nokias. (or other phones as long as they ar not HTC

I have problem with my htc touch diamond its showing sim card missing error

Hi there, Sometimes a SIM card can come loose in the back of the phone. Take off the back of the phone and take out the battery. Locate the SIM card. It's normally white and rectangle. Pull it out and then push it back and and make sure it is tight. Put the battery back in and let it boot up and see what happens. If it doesn't work, it sounds like you need a new SIM card, so you will have to go to your carrier.

I bought a new htc touch diamond phone and within eight months the charger has stopped working. m not able to charge my cell through that charger.please give me d solution as i m not able to use d phone...

First of all your charger is under warranty, so you should get it replaced. Also you may use the USB data cable to charge this phone from your PC. Connect your phone to the computer/laptop using USB cable and it should charge as normal.

HTC touch P3450

Punt. Sorry to here about this but IMEI copying hardware and software is easy to copy. Perhaps your phone company with give you a new IMEI with a new contract. If not, sell it with disclosure of the problem. Then, buy one with a legit carrier perhaps one that doesn't use IMEI's like Verizon or Sprint.

HTC Touch -- Drops Connection to cell tower

I find the HTC touch drops many more calls than other phones I've had. Just doesn't seem to be able to hold a weak signal very well. On my way home from work, I had 2 places where I dropped calls. When I got the HTC Touch, I now have about 4 or 5 places where I lose calls. One additional place is sitting at my desk at work. Very frustrating!

HTC Touch - NO SIM

Make sure that the type of SIM you are using is compatible to the phone in the first place and that it is definately not defective.

If there is a fault, it may be the SIM socket in the phone, or a hardware failure between the socket and the internal processor system of the phone.

Verizon?

Hello,

The carriers who use non sim phones for their network are most likely to use a CDMA 450Mhz Network. Most phones with a sim slot will work on GSM 900-1800-1900 Mhz bands, with their subdivisions (like 850-950 domain, 1800-1850). A phone with a sim card uses a RF module tuned on a specific range of frequencies. The major ones are GSM, CDMA and UMTS (HSDPA included). There are phones with support for GSM + UMTS - most 3g phones available on marked. In your case, a GSM HTC touch Dual will work on gsm networks. For verizon or other cdma networks, HTC produces a CDMA version of the Touch Dual. If you have the gsm version (the one that needs a sim) you should use it on gsm carriers.

Hope this helps.
