49.5cc JCL gas scooter will not start and SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING 40 mPH!

I was driving when all of a sudden my scooter came to a complete stop and shut off when i was on a main road.  I pulled over and ever since, the pup wont start up.  Anyone have any ideas and if I can fix this myself instead of paying 90$ diagnostics and hrly rate to get it fixed???
I also have 1,200 miles on this and bought it only two months ago+   I recently changed the oil and gear oil and possibly put too much oil in.  I have no idea why this is not starting up.  SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!  Also i noticed on the left side on the rear tire there is a sticky residue dark color.  Other than that their are no obvious leaks or anything.  Please HELP ASAP!

I have the very same issue with my 150 jcl scooter, same miles same exact issue. jcl sucks! I have only put 1150 miles on it and it has spent more time in the shop than on the road. Do not buy anything from jcl! Pure garbage!

    Hello,
I'm part of the club. Exact thing with 1200km and just changed oil. This is a chineese scooter 125cc Huatian. After I changed oil, the next day took it to work and in my way back I heard some explotions from the exhaust pipe, then I was lucky that it left me there 5min from home so I didn't walk that much. Could it been worse but I also need help!
I changed the spark plug and still the same. I checked the lines of the carburator and filter and it seems that its passing gas fine.
I will check the spark from the cable that connects to the spark plug and I haven't checked air filters but I assume the air filter can't be that dirty since I dont really use the scooter that much.
    Any help I appreciate.
    Thanks,
    Rod

What is the reason for computer on 2001 Sienna not complete cat and evap cycle for NY,

Toyota drive cycles can be finicky, but generally, they need to be driven at 25 mph for 15-20 minutes, followed by driving at 40 mph for 15-20 minutes, followed by 60 mph for 15-30 minutes. This must be done nearly non-stop. inner city stop and go never works. It can be daunting, but it is required for the PCM to complete a full drive cycle. All of these drive times must also be done at full operating engine temp. If it's not warmed up first, all the time you drive will not start counting till you reach operating temp.

Complete Electrical failure. fuses and battery good?

Sounds more like you have a bad alternator that is unable to keep the battery charged. Once the battery dies while driving, the spark plugs will no longer be able to ignite and the fuel won't burn, causing your engine to shut off. Some cars have a fuseable link between the battery and alternator that will burn out, or partially burn out causing the same symptoms and is a lot cheaper to replace. Check that first.

2008 GMC Sierra pickup. Driving and all of a sudden it shut off then turned back on; the doors unlocked then locked again. Now it won't do anything. Checked the oil and it was empty - no oil at

Running with no oil is death for the motor ( Seized). When the alternator stopped working because the engine stopped the door lock control opened the door locks as it said you were below the required speed to have them locked

2005 honda civic ex automatic stalled at 40 mph

Check the main fuses under the hood. There are several large ones there. A loose connection on one of them could have caused the sudden, complete electrical failure you described. If it is a loose connection, it would certainly explain why it "came back to life" by itself.

Also, might you possibly have any sort of aftermarket security system that has an immobilizer feature on it? While I wouldn't expect this to disable the entire car including the radio, if it were incorrectly installed I suppose it could.

I hope this help. Good luck!

CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT THE P1000 CODE MEANS FOR A 1999 FORD F-150 PICK UP TRUCK

P1000 means a drive cycle has not completed, it will only clear itself after driving the vehicle through certain driving conditions. If you try to clear the code, it will reappear until you repeat the drive cycle. I am not too familiar with what AE will show, but if you can access Mode 6 data or the OBD Drive Cycle(These are two options from the IDS at Ford), It may help to show what tests have either failed or not completed. Heres what must be done to clear the P1000:

Note: The IAT PID must be between 10-38°C (50-100° F) during the OBD II drive cycle to enter into all the OBD II monitors. The FLI PID must be between 15% and 85% at all times.

Drive in stop-and-go traffic with at lease 4 idle periods (30 seconds each) while observing the status of the OBD II monitor on the scan tool. If the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), heated oxygen sensor (HO2S), evaporative emission (EVAP), secondary air (AIR) (if applicable) or catalyst efficiency monitor have not completed, drive on the highway at a constant speed over 64 km/hr (40 mph) not to exceed 104 km/hr (65 mph) for up to 15 minutes. Heavy accelerations, sudden decelerations and wide open throttles are not recommended. If the scan tool sends out a three pulse beep at any time, the OBD II drive cycle has completed.

If there is only one certain component that hasn't completed its test, there are individual driving conditions to help those tests pass or fail if something is wrong.
