Question about NetGear MR314 802.11b
Having issues with my Mitel 5212 phone on wireless LAN stand connecting to Netgear MR314 802.11b wlan router across sbcglobal.net...... The wLAN stand is in bridge mode with DHCP enabled but the phone goes up and down like a yo_yo..... if a static ip address was given to the phone for the netgear router to identify with, would this resolve the problem.... seems I'm the only one going this route and didn't want to buy a new router and internet connection to facilitate new gig.
Not sure how to set a static IP up with netgear box as I search for step by step instruction...
your kind response is apprecaited.
What I think is you unplgged them at the wrong times.

The phone is intended to be connected to a Mitel PBX telephone system. If you're using the phone at home, you must set the phone in Teleworker mode and use the IP address of the teleworker server. This will allow your phone to tunnel into the phone system.
OR the phone must be set up in SIP mode. Press and hold the 6 key while booting the phone. You will also need to set it up and tell it where the SIP server is located (IP addresses).
If you don't have this information, you should contact your vendor or system admin for further assistance.
If you are trying to use the phone without the above servers, I have bad news - it won't work.
