Did you take your battery out as soon as you got it out of the water? this is why water kills cell phones when you get one wet and there is power then somthing is going to short out, but maybe if your lucky it may still work, you want to get the battery out dry it with a hair dryer on a low setting then put it in a closed container with some silica packets or bury it in some dry rice for 24hrs then you will put your battery in charger and pray and turn it on

My Panasonic Model KX-TG8231CB won't charge up after being in inactive for 1year even after 24hrs charge.

O.k. it has been inactive for a year, it is dead...however try this, put it in a saucepan of cold water, place it on the stove (medium Heat) and then remove it (immediately) once the water comes to the boil, dry it and place it back in the charger but also connect a low wattage globe across the terminals before turning the charger on. If after 24hrs it refuses to hold a charge it is obviously made of chuck plastic.

Tip

Here's a tip for ya.....

This is the second time we've replaced this set of three phones. That's right, 3 different phones ( base + 2 extensions ) that have been replaced twice. The same exact problem has come up each time. After about 3 months of use the 4 way button in the middle of the phone stops working but I've found the solution!

Step 1. Remove battery.

Step 2. Place handset(s) in boiling water.

Step 3. Boil for 45 minutes.

Step 4. Remove from boiling water and allow time for it to cool.

Step 5. Place it carefully under the front driver's side tire of your car. Drive forward and backward until fully satisfied.

Step 6. Box up the remains and ship them back to Uniden.

BONUS TIP!!! Don't eat yellow snow

My android fell into a puddle of water and now is not functionining. Blue light on in right corner

Your phone is - sadly to say - probably dead.
With older phones, one can take out the battery and leave them to dry. In some cases the phone will function again. Sadly, with the newer phones, the electronics are so sensitive that water almost always will ruin the phone.
But, you can always leave it to dry (with the battery taken out!), and if you are very lucky, your phone will function again.

My cordless phone fell in the toilet, it worked briefly after it happened but now is dead. Anything I can do?

Once a piece of electronic equipment gets wet, you need to disassemble it, remove the battery and dry it carefully using a lint free cloth. Then use a hair dryer2_bing.gif to dry it out. Do not put the hair dryer too close as you could overheat and damage the item. If you wait too long to do this, the water may have already fatally damaged your phone as things begin corroding quickly. Good luck!

Take it to your AT&T store and they will get it out for you, as if you break it you will get no cred, but if they break it, you will.
