Amx 90 series hobart dishwasher was opened before it was ready for about 10 seconds...it is now reading UL sounds like it is draining but will not reset itself....

UL means there is too much water in the wash tank. It will continue to run the drain pump u ntill the water level is correct. If it is not pumping out then there could be a problem with the pump, blockage or relay fault on pcb

Wash water does not get hot

That doesn't sound right, because it should be hooked up to the hot water to begin with, the heating element in the dishwasher just boosts the temp for sterilizing.

When you have a dishwasher you usually increase the temp of the hot water tank, it's usually in the manual.

If you have small children then it's better not to make it very hot.

As to why the dishwasher isn't getting real hot, the heating element is probably bad and needs replacing.

Also setting can be low or off, but water should be hot even if they are low at least what temp your hot water tank is set at.

We have a reliance 501 propane water heater model # 5 40 porto manufactured in 1991 We have had build up of rust in the pipes from the tank to our dishwasher and sink. Our dishwasher is not cleaning...

After 18 years there will be a build up . you could flush the tank and see what comes out, replace the line to the sink and dishwasher , then you can decide if you want to replace the tank .Which sounds like it will need to be done .

Drain pump running when unit starts but no water to appliance

The machine probably has water in the base (not visibly in the machine, but in the base where the conponents are). Pull the machine out, sit the front on a large towel and holding the back of the d/w pull it towards you. Any water trapped in the base will drain out. It may be a fair amount as the flood safety switch will activate on approx 1.5 ltrs. Once you've cleared the water run a prewash or quickwash to check d/w. Hope this helps.

Commercial glass sterilizer draining hot water tank

SOUNDS LIKE THE TIMER RUNS CONTINUOUSLY, DOES IT RUN WITH THE DOOR OPEN. HOW DOES IT GET WATER IF IT IS NOT "ON" THE WATER INLET VALVE COULD BE LEAKING INTO THE UNIT, BUT UNLESS ON SHOULD JUST OVERFLOW UNLESS IT AUTOMATICALLY SENSES AND HEATS THE WATER . IT MAY BE AS SIMPLE AS A TIMER OTHER THAN THAT CAN YOU JUST TURN OFF THE UNIT WITH A SWITCH, MIGHT BE CHEAPER........

For over six months our dishes (especially glass and china) aare covered in a gritty, darkish material. We often have to rewqsh or hand-wah these items afterwards. We have tried numerous rinse additives,...

i would guess that you run out of hot water in your house pretty quickly. if so, your water heater tank needs drained. hook a hose to the bottom outlet on the tank. shut off the cold water supply to the tank. open up the hot water on a nearby sink. drain the tank into a sump or a drain or a bucket that is lower than the tank. it will cost you 40 or 50 gallons of water, but it should clear up the sediment that you see floating in your hot water supply. you might have to do it twice. good luck

Check to see in you have enough water in tank. The dishwasher fills then recirculates this water under pressure. If you have water in tank, listen to see if motor is running or not. If it is, you may have clogged jet holes in the wash arms.

Heats up water slowly, only by repeated operation

The wash tank element should be operated through a 3 or pole contactor which gets its power only when the rinse tank has come up to temp and switched the thermostat over(rinse tank heating takes priority). Is the rinse tank element fully intact ie-is it pulling its full amperage or is part of the element blown causing it to take longer to heat? Is the rinse contactor dropping in when the thermostat for the rinse tank is turned fully down? It sounds like a thermostat or contactor problem- good luck and let me know how you get on. Kitcheneer
