Panasonic Plasma TH-50PZ77U automatically shutting off after about 3 minutes. The power button blinks on and off afterwards. I have to unplug the television to reset before I can turn on the television...

This unit is going into protection mode because it has detected a problem inside. Can you count the number of blinks please. That should be a repeating count. This will help to isolate the problem circuit.

Thanks,

without having a play with the remote its difficult to know exactly ,but either way their is a fault with your remote or the reciever in the actual set and the only way to get this sorted is the man with the right software to plug into the TV to diagnose the problem ,sorry to say it and that is to return the set with the remote to the dealer.

There is a problem with scan drive 3 boards involved. Best solution and least expensive is call a authorized panasonic service center.

Plasma tv screen goes black once you turn it on. Only sound

I have a panasonic TH-42PX60U plasma TV. When I watch TV programing I have no problems, or with the DVD input. But if I switch to another input, be it video game (PS2) or vcr the screen sometimes goes black and the red power lcd light next to the power switch flashes. Holding the power button in for a few seconds will shut down the tv. Then I can turn it back on and it may operate normally again for a undetermined period of time, before the screen goes black again. This never happened when new. The tv is about 1 year old. Any ideas on this problem? Thanks Ernie

I need to replace my panasonic plasma screen model; th-42px70b

I don't have a listing for your exact model, but the front glass for a similar model runs about $325. Is the front protective glass broken or is the LCD panel itself broken. If the LCD panel is damaged then you are looking at over $1000 for the replacement.
