My "Software Informer" updater found on the NET newer driver for Audiofire hardware - ie. Windows Driver 5.3.3 (which works actually for your new hardware called AudiofirePre8). I installed this along with firmware update. All I got was a crackling, thin sound out of the speakers so tried to roll it back to v.5.2.1 but it didn't work. Currently Info displays:
WDM driver 5.2.1
ASIO driver 5.2.1
Console 5.2
ARM firmware 4.8
DSP firmware 5.1.8
Is there any way for me to solve this problem? I use this interface for professional matter.
Thanks for your attention
Vic

hey therei hope you can help me, i have the sigmatel driver for the m4300 innstalled, and ive tried to uninstall it, reinnstall it, format the computer but i always have the same problem. the sound in the computer seems to be flawed, when im listening to music or watching videos or just whatever that requires audio, i hear some kind of cracks or breaks in the sound...almost constantly..and its driving me crazy, i cant enjoy properly the audio of my computer with this annoying flaw.
