Question about HP OfficeJet 6110 All-In-One InkJet Printer

6110 Printer does not print but everything else works

I've been struggling to find a solution to this problem. After a massive malware virus attack, which seems to be resolved, I noticed a peculiar issue with my 6110. I also installed SP3 for the XP operating platform in this same frame.

When I submit a document for printing, the printer begins its processing routine. The dialogue box shows '1 document(s) in queue; the 6110 'fires' up, the print dialogue box shows the 6110 is set to print from the USB001 Port. The paper is grabbed from the tray and simultaneously the STATUS in the dialogue switches from Printinting to Deleting and the paper is ejected without any print.

The unit will copy and fax but does absolutely no printing. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, updated driver, checked software updates, and went through the troubleshooting solutions a number of times.

I'm not sure if the printer issue is related to the malware, SP3, or hopefully this is the 3rd stike of bad luck and the streak will end.

Any assistance is appreciated.

    I have the same issue when I connect the printer to my work laptop (SP3). However the printer still works with my personal PC (SP2) so maybe it is nothing to do with your virus attack after all......?

Try a complete uninstall:

Unplug the USB cable from your PC.
Go to Start> Control panel> Add or Remove programs. and delete all the entries you see for HP.( If it promts a restart do not restart now)
Then open my computer> C:drive> Program files> and delete the HP Folder only (not Hewlett Packard)
Then Open C:drive> Program files> Common Files and then delete HP and Hewlett Packard folder.
Then Go to C:Drive> Windows> Temp and empty the temp folder as much as you can.
Then go to Recycle bin and empty recycle bin.
Then Insert the All-In-One CD and cancel the installation process.
Open the content of the CD> and open Util folder> Then CCC> Then click on Uninstall_L4 and follow the on screen process.

After all restart the computer.

And if possible download the software from HP website:

Click on Download Only and then foloow the on screen setps to install the printer>

If possible try changing USB cable might be a issue with the USB cable as well, as you are able to make copy and fax, Hope it works with the new cord.

turn off the printer
remove the cartidges.
Take a damp paper towel and clean the contacts of the cartridges and also the contact inside the holder of the cartridges.
put back the cartridges.

Print a self test

Also clear the the printer memory

your printer can only manually print on two sides, reload the paper to do so.

Yeah it is a problem with the chip that is on the cartridge. You can go to the Xerox.com site and contact them directly by phone or e-mail.
Just once at the xerox.com site, select your country.

Hp officejet 6110 all-in-one won't print despite new cartridges


make sure that the housing that holds the cartridges are clean at the contacts, this can be done with the machine turned off and unplugged, clean the contacts with warm water and a damp cotton bud not wet and then dry it with a paper towel.

make sure everything is dry before turning the printer back on, if this doesnt work then it needs a service.

Bought used hp all in one 6110 will not print


What I would try is:

1. From Control Panel > Printers... uninstall all printers that are there.

2. Unplug the printer from the port.

3. Get the Vista drivers from HP's site.

4. Install the drivers.

5. Plug the printer back into the usb port. The printer need to be ON, btw.

6. Check the Control Panel and confirm that the printer is there and is check as the default.

I had a ghost copy of my HP in the control panel and my applications were trying to print to it, all that did was put documents in the Print Que.

This is not available with the 6110. There are printers that have the fax forwarding print option available - from HP I think that the J series OJ's do and most of their higher end products have the feature as well. You can always call them and ask if they will give you a discount to upgrade and make sure that the printer has that option.

I suggest that you say you have a mac computer as well - you will go to Canada and they can help you pick out the best unit for your needs.

Printer wont print HP OFFICEJET 6110 all-in-one


1-if you are in any application, word, windows etc... click on
File
Print
Is the printer there hp 6110 ( if not reinstall driver)
does it have a checmark next to it? no, then right click
go to properties
set as default
put your mouse over printer, does it say ready? no, check connection or change cable.

make sure the hone line from the wall is plugged into the port marked "line" and not "phone"
