Use asoftech photo recovery program to scan your usb and then recover your files.
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/

This software scans all storage space on usb and then join pieces together to recover photos. So even virus affected your file table, and put virus to boot sector, the program can still be used to recover your photos.

Now, you should remember to do regular antivirus scan on your computer in the future.
But, right now, for these deleted files, you could take chances with some free data recovery programs that could efficiently restore all your wanted files back:

Note: Do not save anything new to overwrite your wanted data on this computer.
Do not save everything important on the only one drive in case of similar problems.

I had success with this
1. Do not save any new file to memory card.
2. Connect your card to computer. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in My Computer.
3. Download SD card photo recovery software, recommended one is this photo recovery (simply because i was using it and it worked)
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/
4. Install and open the photo recovery program, select your memory drive, and click 'Start' button to start scanning process which will find your deleted photos.

I have meet a lot of people asking similar question. The answer is absolutely Yes. You can always recover the lost photos from your digital camera even you have formatted the device. Formatting won't make the data in your memory card erased permanently. The pictures you formatted are still in the disk of your memory card, just not accessible right now.

The best way to recover them back is trying some photo recovery programs. A nice one is Asoftech Photo Recovery that helped me before.
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/

This program can deep scan to find your lost photos first and then perform recovery with nice quality. But before your photos are recovered, please don't take more photos in case your lost photo data are overwritten.
