I believe even if your laptop is in warranty, the keyboard replacement has a charge and will not be covered under warranty since it is considered physical damage. Please call the manufacturer so that they can assist you with the nearest repair center authorized for their laptops. Hope this helps. Thank you.

Replace IBM T60 keyboard

Hi, To replace the keyboard on the T60, turn it upside down, Check out the screw, there is few pictures, there is 5 screws holes where you can see a little Keyboard picture. Take them off, Open the T60, remove the touchpad by taking up the top part, disconnect the little cable. Now take off the keyboard, still be carefull with the little connection. Make sure you replace the new keyboard in the same way you unbuild it, you might re-connect the keyboard and touchpad in the wrong way, make sure you put them back as they were. Re-screw, You re done ! If it does not work, means you re-connect the part in the wrong way ! thanks and have a nice day J -

Keyboard replacement

Hi fredrikstad,

Firstly, before you go replacing your keyboard, what is the problem?
Is there a problem with the keyboard on the laptop itself ie. missing keys etc. or is there a problem with the laptop ie. certain keys not working.

Post your reply and i'll get on to it A.S.A.P.

Vistapro
