Hey Rolando,

Having some trouble with your computer recognizing your web cam huh? well first of all if its a new web cam usually they all come with an installation CD. All you have to do is use that CD before you plug in your web cam. If you don't have the CD of course takes a little more effort but its not impossible to find the Drivers for you web cam. I don't know what kind of web cam it is therefore I can't provide you with an exact website where you can find the drivers and most of the time you can download them for little or or no cost at all. So if you need me to find out where you can get a hold of sites where you can download the drivers for your web cam all the info i need is the maker of the web cam and the model. Thanks for using FixYa.

I am getting a no webcam detected message but its connected to my pc

first go to the device manager
check if the cam is detected
if not if you have any cd that came with the cam install it
if yes check if there will be any bang with the device
if none just unplug the cam and try to reinstall the software again that came with the camera before plugging it in.

MediaSmart WebCam won't start up

Remove the webcam from the PC- program list . Uninstall the driver and shut down. Now restart and then plug back the webcam to be detected and installed. if not check the cam with another PC. If cam works then check the port or the OS in your PC.

My webcam not working

Disconnect the web-cam and un-install the software. Also un-install any such drivers you have installed for the web-cam. Now shut down and then restart. Reinstall the drivers once again, the connect the web-cam to the PC, if not detected have it checked in another PC, so as to confirm.

Webcam does not open. camera not found display when i try to open the webcam

The driver to this webcam is not installed and so is not detected, since the model is not specified , try to get a free download of the webcam from the net and install .then connect the cam to be detected and installed. Uninstall all old web cam drivers.

Problem

Same problem. Have Creative Web Cam Pro. When I installed it and everything it showed me sitting there and I could see myself fine. I open PC-CAM Center, however, and it says "Creative Camera not detected. Please plug in to continue..." It's plugged in. I can click the button on top and the PC-CAM center comes up, so I know it works. But it won't detect it. Thanks for any help you can provide!
