Casio wk 3000 keyboard will not turn on.

The power chord is fine. I have checked that. When I try to turn it on, it won't come on.

I have exactly the same problem. The DC socket seems too big for the plug which is loose when inserted. Do you have a solution yet?

    Hi ernieclay

If you have found that the external power supply is working ok, then I would expect that one of the following has stopped your keys from working.

    1. the DC socket has cracked printed circuit board lands,

    2. the soldering to the DC socket has failed

    3. the DC socket itself has failed.
There are only a couple of types of purpose fit DC sockets for Casio Keys, and they are generally readily available from Casio direct, or a good keyboard repairer in your area(I used to keep them in stock)

If you let me know what country you live in I can direct you to a source of a new DC socket is you require one. A FixYa is a great reward for my efforts to assist you. If you need more help, happy to oblige:)

Casio LK-100 keyboard is turning off often when chords are played, esp in lower octaves - seems like a short. Where might the short be - way to fix without taking the whole keyboard apart?

Sounds like a lack of power from the external "wall wart" power supply. Is it the correct one that can supply enough current for a chord to be played? (a chord will play more notes at the same time & pull more power from the supply in order to make the sound(s)) If it's the correct power supply or one of the correct current rating check the cable & the connector both at the end of the cable & where it plugs into the keyboard. Perhaps the lead has been tugged accidentally? / Damaged in some way? Turn the volume down a little & see if that helps - that will confirm the power theory :-) Good Luck!

Stuck in sleep mode

remove the battery and unplug your power chord for 1 min. then plug your power chord back in and try to turn it back on.
if it works then plug your battery back in and see if it boots your system up without the power chord.
if everything works fine then go into your control panel and change your power options.

typing "keyboard wk-1630" does not give me any clue as to what your problem is. You need to be specific with your problem.

Hp c5280 wont switch on, its been working well when last used this morning.

Disconnect the power chord from the back of the printer. Wait for 40 seconds and connect it back and check if it is warming up or not. If not the press power key for few seconds and see if it turns on or not.

If not then check if the adapter is getting warm or not after it is connected to wall outlet.
If adapter is warming up then try another power chord and check..

If both power supply are getting warmer then problem is with printer hardware and if printer works with another power chord then replace the damaged power chord

We have a WK-3000 and are unable to get power to it . Replaced the batteries and tested the ac adapter. Replaced ac adapter with a universal ac adapter but have difficulty figuring out the correct...

The adapter required is a 12 volt 1.5 amp (1500ma or 18 watts). Check the polarity carefully as to whether the pin or the shell is positive... Many Casio have the shell as positive but do NOT gamble, check for the markings near the connector.

My Casio WK-3000 works perfectly except I have a dead octave (8 notes) on the keyboard. I've initialized the system but the 8 notes remain dead.

You will have to have someone open up the keyboard and check that the flex-cables from the keys are all connected to the main circuit board

Casio WK-3300 intermittent display problem

I had the same problem after my keyboard sat for awhile unused, with the display not working, which probably indicates kamangaezeki was right about it being a flash problem. The solution for me was to take the batteries out, unplug the ac, replug it, and then power on while holding the transpose button. This appears to have reset the display, works fine now
