Question about iLO MP3 Player
I purchased this mp3 player from ebay about two months ago. It was brand new still in the package. It worked until a few days ago. Now I can't copy files to the internal drive nor will it copy files to the sd card in the slot. When I do put an sd card in the slot and turn it on it will load the card but immediately turn off. My computer has Vista. I have reformatted the internal drive and the sd cards. I have taken the battery out of it, plugged in the USB cord and held down the power button when I plug in the USB cord into the computer. A window that says "Found New Hardware" says Windows needs to install the software for my STMP 3500. I don't have any software like that, so I choose the option to install the software anyway. My computer is downloading from Windows update. It will show that the drivers were downloaded but when I go to use the mp3 player I can't copy to the internal drive and it won't stay on when I use the sd card.
Does any one have a solution?

SOURCE: No files found
Ok I have same player, same problem. Turns out Windows Media player copied the files into the FM subfolder on the device. FIX: connect device to computer. Do not open WIndows media player, instead open windows explorer, in there you should see the ilo as a new drive. Click the drive and go into the FM folder, now select all files and drag them directly to the drive. The secret is the files have to be outside of the FM folder loose in the device (not in any folder) After that I safley removed the device from the system tray icon and powered it on and the songs were all there. It runs an index process that creates the lists, this takes a second.

i've had that same problem, i called the tech number and they emailed me some program to download. It fixes the problem but the problem doesn't go away. It still happens and i have to hook up the USB and use the program to fix it. Which can be a pain in the ass, all in all, this product is not worth it. I shouldn't have to "repair" something every time i want to use it. And it turns out mp3 players only have a 15 day return policy at Walmart. Which would have been nice to know since on day 16 it crapped the bed. *sigh* lesson learned.
