    Yes Yes
    I am able to print
I was running Tiger on my previous MacBook Pro 17" but with the new MacBook Pro 17" Intel chip I can only print.  I do see the HP Director on my desktop but when i click on Scan it doesn't respond.  I do get a "Twain" issue response on the screen but do not understand what that means.

    thanks

    please be more explicit
your printer works fine? printing is ok?
what software do you use for scan (before OSX).
that software (for scan) works fine?

it seems to me to be an incompatibility between scanner (9110) and the OSX...

Will my HP Officejet v40xi All-in-One Printer work with my new macbook?

This printer is not supported by HP under Mac OSX. You may be able to get it to print with limited functionality suing a generic driver, but none of the specialized functions such as scanning will work.
However, installing an emulater program such as VMWare or Parallels will allow you to run Windows on your Macbook. You could then download the driver from HP's website here:
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=28235&lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=28234&taskId=135
and use the printer from within Windows.
I hope this helps!

Hi,

Please install the printer software and try to scan via the installed software from the computer. Or, start scan using scan button from printer; after installing software.

Are there drivers for using HP6110 Scanner with Apple OSX

you must have the software provided by HP to use the scanner (or another application designed for that purpose) go here http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Lookup?h_pagetype=s-002&h_client=S-A-R163-1&h_page=hpcom&lang=en&cc=us&submit=Go+%BB&h_lang=en&h_cc=us&h_query=officejet+6110&x=0&y=0 select your printer from the list then select OS X and there should be a download link to the original software for Mac OS X and/or a replacement cd

HP Officejet Pro L7580 driver for Mac OSX 10.5.4 does not work. Does anything work around this known problem?

I am having the same problem myself on two computers both with 10.5.4 and have submitted an email to HP. If you have not done the same I suggest doing it too. My macbook still on 10.5.2 seams to be working just fine...

HP 9110 all in one's scanner will not work

I have a 9110 and a laptop running Windows XP and Internet Explorer 7. Prior to upgrading the IE from 6 to 7, I was able to run the HP Director and fax, scan, whatever from the laptop. After upgrading to IE 7, HP Director quit working. I contacted both Microsoft and HP and they pointed fingers at each other and said yes, upgrading to IE 7 broke the HP Director. Both said fixes were being developed, but that was months ago and I have not heard of any fixes.
I did find a workaround that allowed me to scan documents to the PC (faxing worked fine manually). Assuming the 9110 all-on-one’s drivers are still on the PC, and that the PC is connected to the 9110, go to “start, settings, control panel” and once in control panel, select “scanners and cameras”. If the drivers are still there, you should see the HP 9110 under “device”. Highlight the HP 9110 and double click. A wizard should start and it will guide you through the scanning process. If the 9110 does not appear in the “scanners and camera” box, you will need your 9110 CD and click on “add an imaging device”, which will start another wizard. It’s not as easy as using HP Director, but at least I can use the scanner. Hope this works for you.
