Wifi its not a software its a hardware . Your mobile must have inbuilt wifi device to receive the wifi signal without the hardware u cannot able to install software

I am not sure that you can find good battery operated calculators at this price range. However is as you say the testing is at the elementary level, maybe some cheap calculators found at dollar stores will do the job.
Cheap calculators are often used as promotional items.

Since testing is done on computers what not let the students/applicants use the calculator application that is found the computers. I do not know about Apple products but PC computers have a calculator usually found under Accessories (in Windows XP). If you find a way to dock the calculator application on the screen or show the students how to raise tha calculator window quickly, you will not need to buy additional calculators.

I cannot understand what happened to your calculator but ther is a way to restore it to health.
The operating system OS and all the applications that were preloaded in your calculator are available to download freely from http://education.ti.com.


Use the tab Download--> Apps and software. Then select the OS for your calculator TI84 PLUS and save on your computer. While you are at the site download the TIConnect, if you do not have it already. The link follows.

Install TI connect on your computer and run it to open the main window.Then connectyou calculator to a USB port and, in the TIConnect main window Clickthe TIDeviceInfo icon. Software will try to retrieve the info. If itdoes your calculator is ready to communicate with the computer.

Ifit tells you Device Not found , Click communication settings in samepop up window where it said Not found, and Select Device, Select Cable(USB or TIsilver cable), Select Port (USB1) and Click OK..

Ifyou are lucky and it works, you can reinstall the OS. You drag and drop the OS on theTIconnect main window. Calculator must of course be connected to computer and trurned ON.
Now that your OS is installed you can go back to education.ti.com and download all the applications you want. Drag and drop an application onto the main window of TIConnect to install it.
If you have problem with TIconnect, usethe calc-to-calc cable to transfer the OS and any application from a working calculator.You should be on Receive mode [2nd][Link] --->>Receive. (Whenboth calculators are ready hit enter.) The other calculator, youguessed exactly right, must be on Send [2nd][Link][SEND][Send OS]

if you had given the code wrong for more than 10 times your sim would not work so you have to get a new sim

Just found out the answer!
Apparently you can't have both FV and PV positive. Try the calculation with one of them being negative.
