When you chang/lose/update your Safelink phone, they usually send you a new SIM Card. Once you get the SIM card (they usually mail it overnight) go to the Tracfone website. Once you are at www.tracfone.com, click on support then click on live Chat.

You will tell them exactly what you problem is and they will help you program the new phone. It can take a while to get it going (by a while I mean about an hour). The rep will give you strings of numbers you will enter in the Code Entry section. After this is complete, you old number whatever minutes remained on you old phone and whatever plan you were on will be transferred to your new phone. It's complicated to do it alone, and some live chat agents just don't want to help.

If this is the case, crease an account in the Forums sections on www.Safelink.com. Post your issue and within less than a day you will get a response asking you to join the rep in a private chat. They will provide you a link in the Forum response, all you do is click the link, fill out some basic details and start the chat session. The Agents in the Forum will DEFINITELY help you, where as the just live agents on the Tracfone website really don't want to, they are there to answer questions, but they only like to answer question if you are buying something from them. Not all are like that but the majority are, so in retrospect, go to the forum create an account, post your issue and wait for the chat link that will get you up and running.

I'm trying to chat with friends. I type what I want to say.....then "Enter".....I see that what I typed went through....but my friends don't respond!....I see that they are still online...


Hi there, I've been experiencing the same issue with Facebook. Here's what you can do. instead of chatting through the chatbox, hit MESSAGES then use it instead on chat box. You can chat from there as long as your friend is online. Maybe there is a bug on Facebook.
