Remove the top cover by removing the 2 screws in the back.
Remove the dispenser drawer completely.
Remove the 2 screws on front of the panel where the dispenser drawer was removed.
Remove the screw on the right side behind the front panel.
Disconnect the wire harness behind the panel.
Starting on the dispenser side with your finger, pry forward the top of the control panel until it unsnaps.  Continue this all the way to the right and remove the control panel.
Go to the bottom filter door and remove the door.  Unscrew the one screw below the filter cap.  Remove the plastic insert covering around the filter cap.
Locate a small screw at the very bottom of the frame just below the filter cap and remove.  Sometimes there may be 2 but usually there is only one.
Open the door and locate the spring clamp usually located at the bottom of the door seal.  Remove the spring clamp.  This will loosen the front of the door gasket for removal from the frame.
On the right of the door gasket is the door latch assembly.  Unscrew the 2 screws and set the latch hanging by the wire harness.
Remove the 4 or 5 top screws holding the front panel assembly.  Once they are removed, the front panel will lift up and out.
NOTE!!!  THIS JOB REQUIRES 2 SPECIAL TOOLS FROM LG TO REMOVE THE SPRING CLAMPS ESPECIALLY THE REAR CLAMP.  THE SPRINGS ARE SET VERY TIGHT SO IT IS NOT EASY TO REASSEMBLY WITHOUT THE SPECIAL TOOLS.

How to Replace rubber seal on front load washer

The rubber seal on your washer and similar front loading washers is a relatively easy repair. The seal is held onto the front washer panel and the fixed inside washer drum with separate spring-loaded rings that are reusable. So, don't throw them away! You need to remove the front ring from the front panel before you can remove the front panel. With the ring removed the gasket should be pushed into the washer; noting any drain holes, so that you can reinstall the new gasket in the same orientation. Once the outer ring is removed and the front panel is out of the way, you will have access to the ring holding the gasket to the drum. After the inside ring is removed, the gasket should pull off the fixed washer drum. You are now ready to install the new replacement gasket.

The amount of disassembly of the front of the washer is your option if it interferes with the installation. The door is usually heavy and it is useful to remove it from the front panel. Usually, a couple screws holds it in place. Removal of the front panel may also involve removal of the top of the washer and moving the control panel out of the way so that you can access the screws holding the front panel onto the frame of the washer. The locking latch may have to be temporarily removed but can be left in place if you simply push the front panel out of the way to have access to the inside gasket ring. It is useful to take pictures of each stage of the disassembly process to make sure your reinstall everything as it was.

Installation of the gasket starts with reattaching it to the fixed washer drum flange and then replacing the spring-loaded ring to hold it in place. Make sure the gasket orientation matches the original position. After the gasket is attached to the drum, you can now reinstall the front panel. If you unscrewed the latch mechanism when you took off the panel, now is the time to reinstall it as it can be manually held in place behind the gasket. The door can usually remain off the front panel until installation of the gasket onto the front panel is complete. Now bring the gasket forward and reinstall it on the flange of the front panel; secure it in place with the spring-loaded ring. Your gasket is now reinstalled. Simply reinstall the door and your repair is complete.

Tools needed include a blade screwdriver to help pry the rings off the gasket seal and one or two specialty screwdrivers (usually Torx or Philips) to remove the front panel.

WE have Kenmore elite He3t Model Nol. 42926 203. We get an error code dL F. How do we correct this?

It is a door lock failure and it flashes after the door locking routine fails to lock the door after 6 attempts. Replace the door lock/latch assembly (part number 8182634) to solve the problem.

Disconnect power to the washer and open the door. Remove the door gasket retaining hoop by stretching apart the retaining spring at the bottom of the door opening. Gently peel the part of the door gasket near the door lock/latch assembly off the lip of the right side of the door opening. Remove enough of the door gasket to access the door lock/latch assembly behind the front panel.

Remove the three screws securing the door lock/latch assembly to the front panel and slightly lift it then pull it back off the front panel. Pull the door lock/latch assembly out of the washer and disconnect the wiring harnesses.

Connect the wiring harness to the new door lock/latch assembly and install it back in place behind the front panel. the door lock/latch assembly and put the eased part of the door gasket back into position over the lip of the door opening.

Check that the door gasket is properly seated before putting back and securing the retaining hoop around the lip of the door opening and the door gasket.

Machine flashes F then dl. What can we do?

There's a fault detected with the door lock and switch assembly. The door lock is not working or the door lock switch is not activated. This indicates that the door lock and switch assembly is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced to address the problem.

Disconnect power to the washer and open the door. Remove the door gasket retaining hoop by stretching apart the retaining spring at the bottom of the door opening. Using needle nose pliers, start where the spring and wire are connected and pull the wire out of the groove of the door gasket.

How do I replace the oring gasket on a front loading samsung wash machine model number wf219anw/xaa

I can tell you how to fix one on the WF218ANW/XAA washer. Your model may be the same. You need to take the top panel off the washer by taking out two screws on back panel. You need to remove the control panel and place it on the top of the unit (it is attached with electrical cord). You need to talk out the detergent tray (press the clip in the middle). You then take off the front panel. it is not necessary to take off the door; however, to remove the panel you will need to remove the door latch mechanism on the inside of the door. To remove front panel, there are also two screws on the bottom of the unit. Once you have the front panel off, remove the old gasket by loosening the two springs rings. Pay attention to how the gasket is installed before removing. Replace gasket by installing inner portion first and replacing spring ring and tightening. Put all the parts back on the washer and install the outer portion of the gasket (with the spring ring). Samsung charges $130 to do this in my area and it's a pain in the neck.

My door lock has locked with the door open , how do i get it to unlock ?

There is a manual unlocking tab located at the bottom of the door lock and switch assembly. Disconnect power to the washer before accessing it.

Remove the three screws attaching the toe panel to the cabinet then pull the panel down and off the cabinet. Prop up the bottom front edge of the washer or cushion and lean it against the wall for an easy access of the screws.

Reach up along the inside of the front panel and locate the bottom of the door lock and switch assembly on the right side.

6afe379.jpg

Locate the tear-drop shaped tab then gently pull it down until a click is heard, and then open the door.

The door lock and switch assembly may need to be replaced if the problem persists. Disconnect power to the washer and open the door. Remove the door gasket retaining hoop by stretching apart the retaining spring at the bottom of the door opening.

dc4821c.jpg

Gently peel the part of the door gasket near the door lock/latch assembly off the lip of the right side of the door opening. Remove enough of the door gasket to access the door lock/latch assembly behind the front panel.

027488d.jpg

Remove the three screws securing the door lock/latch assembly to the front panel and slightly lift it then pull it back off the front panel.

Pull the door lock/latch assembly out of the washer and disconnect the wiring harness.

Connect the wiring harness to the new door lock/latch assembly and install it back in place behind the front panel.

Secure the door lock/latch assembly and put the eased part of the door gasket back into position over the lip of the door opening.

Check that the door gasket is properly seated before putting back and securing the retaining hoop around the lip of the door opening and the door gasket.

How does front panel come off (safely) to swap out door switch on kenmore washing machine 41744152400

The front panel does not need to be removed when replacing the door switch. What needs to be removed is the door gasket. Open the washer door. Get a pair of needle nose pliers then look for the retaining hoop securing the door gasket to the lip of the door opening. Stretch the hoop retaining spring at the bottom of the lip of the door opening then carefully pull the hoop out. Make sure not to tear the door gasket or else water will leak through it.

Remove the two screws securing the door switch to the front panel. Peel off the door gasket near the door switch then pull the door switch off the front panel and out of the washer.

Disconnect the wires from the door switch terminals then connect it to the new door switch. Secure the new door switch back to the front panel then put the door gasket back over the lip of the door opening. Properly secure the door gasket to the lip of the door opening with the retaining hoop.

Door boot seal on a front load washer how to change

front gasket/door boot.... replacement isn't easy but do-able. first remove three screws that hold front lower panel on and remove panel (where lint filter is). then remove 3 screws that hold on top panel (screws located at rear of top of washer), next remove 3 screws on top front of washer, then remove 4 screws that secure the contol panel. you must remove the washer door at this point, just a few screws and pin hold the door on. now, remove control panel by gently pulling the top away from the washer, it's held by a few plastic snaps. then, remove three screws that secure front panel of washer. now you're ready to remove the old boot/gasket. first look toward lower right side of gasket and pull the spring and remove wire that secures front of gasket. next... at about 3 o'clock on the gasket you'll find a longer screw (about 3 inches) that secures the rear of the gasket. loosen this screw until you can remove the gasket. remove the water inlet and hose from the boot/gasket.... now remove gasket from washer. you're ready to install new boot/gasket. find the small triangle on the new gasket and line this up w/the triangel at the top of wash tub. begin working the gasket onto the lip of tub, make sure to align the triangle and water outlets of the gasket w/the triangle and outlets of the washer tub. once back of gasket is on install the rear wire holder and tighten screw to former tightness. now work front of gasket onto the lip of washer, install spring wire to secure the front. place water inlet and hose into respective holes on the gasket. put front panel back on, put door on, put control panel on, put top on... and wash. like i said, not easy but do-able... i completed it in 1.5 hrs w/no instruction.
