Delonghi cf208 the dehumidifier mode does not seem to do anything, any suggestions

I have the same model. It works brilliantly as we tend to dry the washing inside this time of year. When on dry mode try turning the "set temp" down to 17'c this normally starts mine off,,, failing that put some washing in a warm room with the dehumidifier "temp set" at 17'c just to test it maybe. or perhaps its just not humid enough where you are placing it? Good luck.

What is cooling and dehumidification mode

When dehumidification operation is set by remote controller, the intake air temp.is detected and the setting temp.is automatically set according to intake air temp. expl. Intake temp.78.8 set point will be 77. When intake air temp.is 2deg.below the setting temp.the indoor fan operates at iow speed or stops. It is just a way to controlle humitity rater than just temp. Some systems reach setpoint before enough humitity is removed, making house feel stuffy,or damp.

Not sure of settings

On the remote, press the mode button (might also be labelled master control) until a snow flake appears. Then set the temperature for 23 degrees. The speed of the fan can be changed by the fan button. All functions should cycle through so if you go too far, just keep pressing the button until you get back to the desired setting.

Blower fan runs at one speed - very low

There is a sensor on the indoor coil that needs to reach a certain temp before the fan speed will increase. Sounds like the unit is undercharged if the sensor isn't reaching the temp it needs to.
