Hi thanks for the question pull the washer away from the wall you will see a small plate at the back remove this plate pump is there in corner held in there with 3 3/8 bolts remove hoses and remove pump you will get some water drain washer first by gravity please accept and positive feed back is nice thanks the appliance doc

Anybody have an issue with drum leaking on a Maytag Centennial washing machine?

top loader leaking ?? this is unusual !! I did have a top loader leak once (not maytag) that the operator overloaded it and allowed it to try and spin dry , it shook unattended so bad it shook loose the hose connections from drum to pump , id suggest checking exactly were it leaks from with a flashlight looking at machine with back off ,while its running , use only your eyes !! for safety !

Maytag dependable care plus washer. Top Loader works through all cycles, but will not initiate or complete final spin.

Usually due to blockage in filter or hose or pump, but may be motor brushes not spinning drum to proper speed

My maytag washer model #sav5710aww shakes badly and

if its a neptune front load washer you need new tub lip seal and bearings for the drum as the seal is leaking water into the bearings that hold the inner drum,it will only get worse,you need to remove the inner drumto replace the seals and bearing it takes from 2 to 6 hours depending how hard the old bearings come out of the race

It is your water pump. If you don't know what you are doing it could be tough.

Bad water pump on my washing machine

Is this a top loader? If so, these instructions should work for you since this is a Whirpool manufactured washer:

Replacement pumps can be purchased on line at or Both sites offer excellent illustrations and competitive prices, so shop both for the best price. The pump is listed under the heading for the Pump/Motor/Gearcase. Just use the model number off your washer for your search criteria.

This is a fairly simple repair, but if you have questions along the way, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

PS If my instructions aren't accurate, or if this is not a top loader, please post back with your model number so that I may be able to determine how your washer is contructed.

Use a gentle hammer action on all 3 sides where screws go in should come out
