This will require 2 phillips screwdrivers. Insert the screwdrivers into the screw heads and unscrew one side while holding the other so it will not turn. When the screw is out, tip the brush up and slide a new belt on.

I have tried personally to locate this same manual on line and ended up calling Kirby.

Here is a online guide....it's for the G series Kirbys. They're similar enough that it should help. Pay special attention to the belt lifting process...it's exactly the same as for the Heritage II, and it's also where I think your problem lies. I have a Heritage II manual available too! Hope I have helped...

try this place on line - they have kirby machine parts but they list them by generations. you could email them to see if you can get a manual.
