I am unable to get into my email, i have put in correct password and I.D but it keeps on rejecting. I have tried everything that yahoo has suggested and i am still unable to get into my mail!

I'm assuming that you use yahoomail account. What kind of web browser do you use?. Try to access your email account using different web browser. For example, use mozilla firefox instead of internet explorer, or even natscape navigator. But, if this doesn't solve your problem, the problem maybe with yahoomail.

Hello debb40,
Are you suer you aren't entering all that information with the caplock button on? log in names and passwords are case specific if you used all lower case characters to sign up.. you'll need to use all lower case to log in.. Otherwise.. youmay have to contact yahoo direct for assistance logging in...

Resolution First, try these basic troubleshooting steps:
  1. Tap Safari and load a webpage. If you can load a webpage, then your device has Internet access. If you can't load a webpage, check your Wi-Fi connection or try a different Internet connection:
    • Try a different Wi-Fi connection.
    • If your iOS device has an active cellular data plan, tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn off Wi-Fi.
    • If the affected email account is provided by your Internet provider, see if your issue is resolved while connected to your home Wi-Fi network.*
  2. Log in to your email provider's website to make sure that the account is active and the password is correct.

Follow the steps below for specific alerts.
"Cannot get mail" Make sure you entered the correct password. If you enabled two-step verification through your email service provider, contact them to see if you need a special password for your iOS device.
"Unable to move message"
  1. Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar, then tap your email.
  2. Tap Account.
  3. Tap Advanced.
  4. Tap Deleted Mailbox and make sure it's set to Trash.
  5. Tap Advanced > Account, then tap Done.
    Note: If you see the issue again, repeat steps 1 through 3, tap IMAP Path Prefix, then Inbox. After you make your changes, tap Account, then Done.
"Username or password is incorrect" with POP3 account Before you check your email on your iOS device, close it on your computer and other devices.
To see if your account is a POP3 account use the Mail Settings Lookup tool or:
  1. Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars and tap the account.
  2. Look for the label POP ACCOUNT INFORMATION.
If your email provider offers IMAP, remove the POP3 account, then add the account with your provider's IMAP settings. POP3 communicates with one mail client at a time. If more than one mail client tries to connect, you might see a username or password error.
"Relaying denied" or "Email address rejected by the server" when you try to send email This error indicates that either an email address is incorrect or your settings aren't correct for your current connection. Make sure the email address is correct for messages in the Outbox or try a different port:
  • If you're on a Wi-Fi network connected to the same network as your email domain, such as your Cable or DSL provider, try port 25:
    1. Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
    2. Tap your email account, then tap Account.
    3. Scroll down and tap Outgoing Mail Server.
    4. Tap Primary Server, then tap Server Port.
    5. Delete the current port and enter 25.
    6. Tap Done.
  • When you connect to a cellular data or a different Wi-Fi network, you need to use an alternate port and authentication, if your email provider supports it. The most common alternate ports are 465 and 587. Check with your email provider for specific settings.
If you still can't send email, you can set up an alternate SMTP server.

As with any account, it is a wise idea to change your Yahoo! password a few times a year in order to ensure its security.

Knowing where to go in Yahoo! to change your password will allow you to do it quickly.

Sign into your Yahoo! email account.

Click on your Yahoo! name at the top of the webpage to access drop-down options.
Select the "Profile" option.

Your account page will open.
Place your cursor over "Account Info" in the toolbar.
Options will again drop down.

Click "Change Password."

Type in your current Yahoo! email password in the first text box.
Enter your new Yahoo! password in the lower two text boxes.

Click "Save."

Your Yahoo! password is now changed.

Can't sign in!! Help!! Keeps rejecting my password.!!


Yahoo has some known problems on password verifications. Many users that put the correct password, were not able to login and when they tried to reset it, yahoo did not accept it.

I am not sure if your case is the same, but if it is, hang on until yahoo fixes the issue.

If you are not in this case and just forgot your password, you can reset your password by going to mail.yahoo.com and clicking "I cannot access my account", then "forgot my password", then you give your yahoo ID and write the digits from the captcha.

On nokia e5-00 getting notification unable to send message :darao@yahoo.com /connection not available can not remove this problen on my cell


But if you want to get around the Nokia Messaging then here is what to do:

 

Go to Mail on your phone  - Options - Settings -  scroll down to email - Options - New Mailbox

 

Click - start and then NO to allow connections (that stops Nokia Messaging swinging into control)

 

Now enter your hotmail address except do not put @hotmail.com at the end.  Put @abc.com

 

e..g. if you email is *****@yahoo.com then enter mailto:*****@abc.com

 

This is very important because if fools the phone into thinking this is a non hotmail email account. If you do not use this by pass, then when the operating system detects you are doing a hotmail, it simply tell you that it has made you a nice new bookmark for the hotmail web page.

 

Now enter your password - press OK

 

Now enter your correct hotmail address - e.g. *****@yahoo.com - press OK (this time you can use the yahoo)

 

Now you will get an error message saying unable to define settings and it will allow you to manually set the POP3 or IMAP. yahoo is of course POP3 so choose that.

 

OK - to the wizard intro

 

Mailbox POP3

 

Incoming mail server - pop3.live.com

Security - SSL/TLS - very important

 

Outgoing mail server  - smtp.live.com

Security  - Start TLS ----> THIS IS THE NEW SETTING THAT HAS RECENTLY CHANGED. BEFORE SSL/TLS WAS FINE BUT NOW THE MICROSOFT SERVER IS REJECTING SSL/TLS EMAIL WITH AN ERROR 530 MESSAGE/START WITH TLS.

 

SO PLEASE ENSURE THIS OUTMAIL SECURITY IS CORRECT - START TLS.

 

If you yahoo was working fine but suddenly it stopped working for outbound emails, then this is the setting you now need change.

 

Port Number - 25 (which is the default)

 

Some users have reported that it only works if you use Port 587 for outbound. This depends on whether or not not ISP is port blocking or not. I suggest you try 25 and if you still cannot send emails via hotmail, then change to 587.

 

The wizard should now complete the setup and in the list you should now see the new email but now it needs editing further so click options - settings (on the new email you have just added).

 

- Connection settings

 

- Incoming e-mail

 

- change the user name to the hotmail one i.e. change  *****@abc.com to *****@yahoo.com

 

leave password correct

 

leave incoming mail server pop3.live.com

 

access point - whatever is your default - I set to always ask

 

mailbox name - change this to *****@yahoo.com i.e. your yahoo address

 

leave mailbox type as pop3

 

leave security ports SSL/TLS - this is still okay for incoming mail

 

leave port - default

 

leave APOP as OFF

 

now back to OUTGOING MAIL SERVER

 

change my email address to your correct hotmail one i.e. ****@yahoo.com

 

change user name to your correct hotmail one i.e. *****@yahoo.com

 

leave password - it should be same as for incoming mail

 

leave outgoing mail server smtp.live.com

 

access point as you wish - mine is always ask

 

security ports should be StartTLS

 

Port - make sure it is 25 or 587 as above.

 

And there you go...it should work now.

if you are unable to reset your account with the above page, your yahoo account is lost. that is the bottom line, there is no help further this point, you have to create a new yahoo account if you wish to keep using yahoo. you will not be able to get any of your old emails etc. Yahoo does not reset or help you if you forget your secret question as well.

I SUCCESSFULLY DOWNLOAD YAHOO MESSENGER BUT I CANNOT SIGNED IN


Right now yahoo! is facing some server problems. All we can do is wait for them to make the necessary repairs and restore out yahoo! accounts. I also answered on your other post of this problem.

Please try reset your password by http://edit.yahoo.com/forgot you can reset your ID by alternate email address that you put during registration or you can reset it by putting correct SQ info...if you are unable to reset online call yahoo customer care toll free number ...they will reset it for you....All the best
