Question about Acer Computer Monitors

1 Answer

NOTEBOOK PANEL FITTING

My notebook screen panel sizing has shrunk. the display is pushed to the left and only goes 80% across panel. everything is proportional except at the bottom along tray, there is an extra 1/4 inch. If you pass the arrow along bottom icon tray you get an elongated tail from the arrow.
If you use a double monitor the arrow picks up on the right edge of notebook and goes directly to secondary screen.
Act as if there is a barrier along right side of screen display?

Dell sx2210 how do I change the size of the screen?

  1. Navigate to the Control Panel in Windows by left-clicking on Start, followed by Settings and then choosing Control Panel.
  2. In the Control Panel window, open Display. Note: In Microsoft Windows , depending on how your operating system is setup, you may not see the Display icon. To correct this, click on the link on the left-hand side of the Control Panel window that saysSwitch to Classic View.
  3. In the Display Properties window, click on theSettings tab.
  4. Locate the Screen resolution slider on the left-hand side of the window. Under most circumstances, the best choice is 800 by 600 pixels or 1024 by 768 pixels, possibly higher if you're using a 19" or larger monitor. The "best" setting is highly subjective to your personal preferences.

The text and pictures on my Kogi monitor are too big for the screen. How do I fit everything on the screen to the right size?

Sounds like your monitor isn't set up at the correct resolution.

If you're running Windows, go to your Control Panel and into Display > Screen Resolution.
Try setting it to 1024x768 or higher.

Sreen shrunk a bit and now cant chanage it to normal

Control Panel->System->Hardware->Device Manager. Select Display Adapters and uninstall it. Then Ask Windows to scan for new HW. Let it detect and install the display adapter. If this does not work then select Monitor and uninstall it. Make Windows detect the monitor and install it.

Display wont expand to the left

What brand and model of monitor is it? Usually there is an auto config button that makes everything right. It is usually labeled Auto. If that doesn't fix it, press the menu button and see if you can increase the horizontal size and move it. If that doesn't work, take the monitor apart and reconnect the video cable that goes into the panel.

No composite input signal

Try the following:
Right after power on, tap the F8 key to see if you can get a short menu to come up.
If it does, select "Safe Mode."
If your screen looks different, it may be just the driver for the display card or monitor is trashed (Windows like doing that, keeps us challenged).
- Open Control Panel, then System, then Hardware, finally Device Manager.
- Locate Display adaptors, open and delete the adaptor listed (all, if more than one.)     - Locate Monitors, open, delete any listing there.
Reboot.
Windows should 'find' two 'new' devices and install the drivers for them.
The display may still be different if you had other than the default settings.
Go then to the Display folder of the Control Panel, click on 'Settings' and experiment. Depending on your Windows version, if you choose something dumb so it makes the screen unreadable, ignore it and Win will ask if you want to keep it and give you some time to acknowledge that you like it. When you don't, it will just go back to the pre-tinkering settings.

Settings for dcl lcd monitor

Hi,
Your laptop resolution is greater than the external monitor can handle. From your laptop, try changing the screen resolution to 800x600, if it works, up the ante to 1024x768. You can bring it up again until you find a comfortable screen resolution. You will eventually stop to a point when your external monitor displays about 80% of the laptop screen. That is, back to your original problem. But you get the idea. Cheers!
