Question about Insignia IS-LCDTV32 32 in. Television
There may be more than one way to interconnect the two and it sounds like you are using S-Video right now.
This is a slightly higher quality than other paths can deliver but does not carry any audio information at all.
If this is your case, you will have to use the red (right channel) and white (left channel) jacks on both to carry the audio info to the TV set.
These use 'RCA' type jacks and plugs; this is the kind with a split shell and a protruding male pin on the plug.
Check your DVD player manual; even the poorest of them will generally show the different connection types.
