  • FRIEND TRY THE FOLLOWING:
    1. change the remote contorl , try to find the one who is the same for your TV model. and see if it will work( you can also try the universal remote from on of your friends.
    2. If it doesn't work, procede to the next step who is this ; if you know how to do the soldering open the back of your TV, remove the main board and desolder the infrsred receiver and replace that with the new one.
    3. If it doesn't work , go to manualparadise.com buy there the service manual and send that to me at semirengeee@yahoo.com. then i will work with you if you are a technician. if not take your TV to the repair place ,

Know that some parts of TV hold some power voltage even if it is unplugged and can be dangerous for some one who deosn't know where to begin and where to finish.
    In all this good luck.

How do I turn off the SAP? My mom somehow turned it on and now only gets sound on some of her channels and some in spanish!

U have the original tv remote?Yes.Look for it on the remote for a button that said SAP pushes to turn it off.If u don't have the tv original remote, might could also be turn it off inside the tv internal Menu functions setup, but probally not because the SAP design in tvs are mostly just a SAP button on the tvs original remote design only.Try website like Remotes.com to buy the tv original remote.

Mitsubishi cs-26201 with "speaker off" - how to turn back on?

After a pulled plug got me Speaker off I was frustrated for weeks and found no solution online until I looked at a site offering original remotes and realizes I was using a VCR's remote for the TV. The Manual was long ago destroyed and is not available online that I can find, but I dug around for the oriignal remote and clicking the Audio button repeatedly brought up the Speaker: Off option and then it was just a press of Adjust to turn it back to On - problem solved.

I don't know if there is a way to do it without the remote, but the only controls on the TV are those on the front and in addition to steps people online suggested I think I must have tried every combination possible of pressing those in sequence or together as well as everything I could think of on the other Mitsubishi remote and the Universal remote I had been using.

Toshiba TV 27AF42 purchased 7-2-02 Have cable

It's not the TV. Its the remote. Remote controls don't last for ever. Try a universal remote. Try Radio Shack it should do the job. Do you have a cable converter then ask your cable comapny to give you a new remote.

Child lock on, TV off, No remote or manual=cannot turn TV back on

i found out on line in the owners manual that if u still have a remote control that came with the tv, u press the tv/av button and enter button at the same time to disable the child lock. New problem: u can't do it with a universal remote, even if its programmed to a magnavox tv. I called the 800 # to buy a remote control and the rep told me that it cost $50, not including the shipping and handling. so my husband put the tv in the car, brought an extension cord and took it to a local tv repairman who was kind enough to use his remote to remove the child lock for us. finally someone who is helpful for free. thanks to all the nice people out there!
