Question about Epson Stylus CX6400 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Not workin' "Printer Error: See your documentation and call service if necessary" Under the hood there is a gold colored ribbon that rotates like a conveyor belt. It moves normally while giving clicking noises. The ink cartridges do not move. How can I fix this problem?

    I have the same exact problem. I received this printer second hand so it may have been damaged when I got it, but I would still like to know what the problem is and if it is worth fixing or not.

I assume you've checked and done all the basic things like a power down and power up reset and checked to make sure all the ink cartdridges are properly installed and seated.

The user manual discusses your error message and suggests you do the following: Open the scanner unit to make sure any tape securing the ink cartridge holder has been removed; close the scanner unit/ press the ON button to turn off the CX6400, then turn it back on . If the error message still appears, contact your epson dealer or Epson tech support. HOW DO I un-lock the scanner on a Brother MFC 7420?


Unfortunately, the MFC-7420 doesn't have a physical lock switch. You need to turn off the all-in-one and wait for the unit to clear its memory. If the error recurs after you press the power button again, wait 30 minutes and try again. (Note: you will lose any faxes that are in memory. See the User Guide page 11-5 to save this information.) Then click on the Manuals on our Online Solution Center for the English version of the manual. You can also try unplugging the all-in-one for several minutes to reset the error codes. If the error persists, contact Brother if the MFC-7420 is still under warranty (1 year). If it isn't under warranty, consider replacing the unit. The repair costs may be unreasonable.

The error code H5 means there was at least 5 pages in a row where the paper did not come out of the printer correctly (most likely paper jams. The following manual will direct you on the steps needed to clear the code, please note especially page #8-3

Hp laserjet m1522f error 5 turn off and on


Hi, Error 5 is a Scanner error. When turning the printer on, have the lid up so you can watch the scanner movement. Does it move smoothly? It should go through a warm up and you should be able to watch the scanner movement. If there is a problem with the scanner, there isn't a lot you could do except. The service manual says the scanner assembly should be replaced. If it was my printer, I would try to take a closer look at the scanner assembly and check to see if the scanner unit is bound up somewhere, or maybe a drop of 3 in 1 oil on the scanner rails. Let us know what happens.

Prinnter not printing but showing 'put custom in manual tray'


There is still a print job in the queue. Place a sheet so it prints or kill the job.


Open Printers and Faxes. Open printer. Highlight jobs and Right click > Cancel, or Documents > Cancel.
For those stubborn jobs, Right click My Computer > Manage. Choose Services and Applications > Services > Print Spooler. Right click and stop. Then start. This may have to be done from the Print Server if it's network printer. Contact IT to kill.

Samsung kicked out hp 3in 1 printer already installed


Don't have your HP designated as the default printer (if possible)when you hook up the Samsung. When the Samsung is hooked up it sees the HP is the default printer. Well it can't have that, they discard the HP drivers. What does Samsung care about HP drivers theres only one printer port setup and thats the USB port you have them sharing. So yes you need to get a second cable. Tim
