The oven light goes on and off constantly. i see that the solution is to replace the front control panel. If this is correct - this will be the 3rd time (in 6 years) the front control panel has had to be replaced - previously it was because of shorting which caused an F2 error and high-pitched warning tone. This all seems to be because of very poor design by Dacor - the front panel is not protected properly from moisture getting in from outside and damaging the circuitry.
I will never buy a Dacor stove again - poor quality design for a very high price.

Had the same problem and yes the service charge was $100 to just show up. Solution was replace the pad for $500 or just disconnect it so I had no light at all. Choose the former solution figuring the light in the kitchen would be enough. Can't wait to get rid of these ovens.

We had the same problem, except it went on for a few weeks until the lights finally blew out. The clicking is still hapening even with no lights in the oven. The repairman to day said it was likely the relay board, but he did not sound like he was really sure. He's going to get back to me with an estimate, any feedback on relay boards?

Open the over door. Remove the four screws holding in the digital display. Pull it off (have something to stand it up on). Look for the small ribbon going between the printed circuit board (PCB) and the digital display you just removed. Pull the ribbon out from the connector on the PCB. On my model, ECS127SBK, push the three right pins down, and re-connect with just the two left pins. Other models, may be different, so you may have to test it out. Be sure to turn off the power at your breaker box while working on it. You won't have the use of the lightbulbs anymore, but you won't have the damn ticking either! (And you'll save yourself getting ripped off from a technician.) I'm not very skilled when it comes to this stuff, so if I can do it, you can too!

I had the same problem. It was covered by my service plan but required replacing the whole front control panel.

My wall oven is making a constant unusual noise

Without a model number its hard to be exact. If your oven is older it will have a clock timer motor that turns the dials or flips the clock display cards. This timer has gears and bushings that will be annoying as they wear and start a vibrating hum or clicking-usually not worth tinkering with..it can be taken out and checked or replaced. Electronic timers of course don't have any moving parts to the timer, but have relays in the circuit to turn the oven on and off. They do not 'whir'. This is the likely issue.

The self clean cycly lasts several hours during which time you can't open the oven or turn it off. You will just have to sit and wait.

Put oven through self clean for 2 hours. Oven

What has happened is IF the temp gets to hot in the electronic controls area, an in line fuse/limit burns out and shuts down everything.
I have a DACOR tech sheet HERE

So what I think is happening is the in line fuse in the wiring harness could be blown. You won't know till you or someone checks.

My DACOR + ECS 130 covection oven light relay keeps clicking.....

I have the same problem and sent an e-mail to DACOR. A James Carlos responded and advised that DACOR could not provide DYI info because of liability problems, pure BS in my opinion. I've had problems with a DACOR microwave (manuf. by Sharp), my DACOR wall oven Model ECS103 and my DACOR Raised Vent system and told Mr. Carlos so. I don't know how to fix the blinking oven light other than cutting power at the circuit breaker panel or removing the two light bulbs which other have advised but suspect a new front control panel is required. If you find a fix, please advise me at bsquared37@yahoo.com. I think DACOR products are overpriced and junk.

Our Dacor Millennia wall oven will not heat

There is a manual reset button behind the vent under the touch pad. Turn off the power. Open the door. Remove the vent. Behind the latch is a two wire switch. press the red button on it until it clicks. reassemble and turn on power. It over heated when the power went off by stopping the cooling fan.

Switch problem?

there select range/stove/oven

in that select switch

after doing that see for the 3rd part.

this is the light switch you need.

replacing it is not very tough. but it is not that easy also.

since you are going to work near circuit boards this must be done carefully. if any small mistake will cause more problems.
everything depends upon your expertise sir.

thank you
