Dear Karen,
protected mode:
Protected Mode is an important step forward in security for Internet Explorer (IE); it helps protect users from attack by running an IE process with greatly restricted privileges on Windows Vista. While Protected Mode does not protect against all forms of attack, it significantly reduces the ability of an attack to write, alter, or destroy data on the user's machine or to install malicious code.

unknown Zone:

In the Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser, a site may be identified as belonging to an "unknown zone". This means Internet Explorer could not determine if the site belongs to the Local Zone, the Trusted Zone, the Restricted Zone or the Internet Zone. It may mean the page contains a mixture of content - some of which is from the Trusted Zone, and some from another zone.

Dell laptop computer how do i unlock ruby laptop not a desktop when sgin on it read ruby lock how do i unlock it. rubybryant89@yahoo.com

The computer goes in to lock mode when it goes into hybernation or to sleep after a period of inactivity. By "ruby laptop" I presume you mean there is a button with the name ruby on it? If so, just click on the button and if it is password protected, it will ask you for the password for that user account. If it is not password protected it will go on into the desktop.

It sounds like windows doesn't like a driver that zone alarm installed... when the PC starts, just tap on F8 a few times until the screen pops up to offer you to go into safe mode... select "Last known configuration" (i.e. the configuration that worked prior to installing zone alarm...

it should reboot and all should be well...

Check the version of Zone Alarm to ensure it is compatible with Windows 7...

ERROR CODE OFOO:O75O WINDOWS XP WILL NOT BOOT ON MY PC

Hi
Generally this means you are trying to run two (2) virus protection programs at the same time. If you have recently deleted one, then go to that manufacturers website and get their removal tool. At any rate totally eliminating one of the schemes should clear the error. You'll probably need to do this in SAFE mode.

The receiver turns on and immediately goes to standby

The unit is going into protect mode. Lets hope it has done the job and the receiver has protected itself from failure.
Protect mode can result from speaker wires touching each other or the Amps metal case. Check that first.
It can also be caused by unstable ohm loads if too many speakers are connected to any of the outputs especially zone 2.
If you can remove all speaker wires and turn the unit back on. If it stays on, turn the volume down on the main zone and zone 2 if connected. Then reconnect speaker wires.

You definitley have a virus/malware issue. This is not unusual with rundll32.exe files. rundll32.exe is a legitimate and needed file within Windows. The key is "unknown file associated" which is an indication that a new file with similar name has been inserted onto your PC.

My suggestion would be to boot into safe mode without networking and run your anti-virus software as Administrator.

Restart the PC and as soon as it starts up after the Post Beep and the Bios, press F8 key at the top of your keyboard a few times and you will see a Safe Mode Menu... Your problem is that you are either using the wrong Graphics Driver, or your resolution is not supported by your monitor. You need to go to Device Manager and uninstall the graphics driver and reinstall it... If you don't know which driver to install use Unknown Devices which is an app that will tell you your Unknown Hardware Devices, you can find a good clean version to download at Major Geeks.
