Plantronic 510 not charging properly

Fairly new 510 is not charging properly--if you leave it on charger too long will it damage the battery, don't find information regarding overtime on charger

    mine is over 1 yr and is doing the same thing
    smart charger seems to have lost its brain.
    It wasn't like the battery was going bad it just stopped working.
    I haven't used it that much and it was working just fine
    put it away and when I took it out it was dead.
    has been on charger 3 days and is still blinking red.

No it has a smart charge system which does not allow for that to happen.

My Bluetooth needs a charger ,what charger is best to use


Any bluetooth car or home adapter will do, but the specified amp or milliamps (power strength) adapter would be best. My Plantronics M155 came with the 180mA adapter which is very light; quarter amp.

My headset will not hold the charge very long - is there a fix for this - is there a battery somewhere on this unit that can be replaced?


Unfortunately, the Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth headset does not have a replaceable battery, it is "hard wired". However the 510 headset does have a one year warranty, so Plantronics will replace it within the warranty period. If it's out of warranty, you can buy a replacement if you'd like or buy the newer version which is the Plantronics Voyager Pro+, which is just a newer, slimmer model and it also has newer technology (for the same cost). Won't take a charge


This has a non replaceable battery, you can always purchase a new headset. 84321-01 this is just the headset.

It sounds like the battery is no longer holding a good charge. There is no replacement battery for this headset. If you are using the original 510 headset you can replace it or pair a different bluetooth headset up to the 500A base. Just keep in mind if you decide on a different style of headset you will not be able to charge it in your base. I have included the link for the 510 replacement headset below.

When you press earpiece to pickup call the phone lift not working and a red light blinks on front left on desk top charging station .It worked fine yesturday - I come in today and it doesn't work. there...

Plantronic 510 want to open cover


Why bother.  Send in with copy of receipt.  One Year Warranty covers most problems (not physical misuse or abuse though)  Do not open unit.  Will invalidate warranty.

Light is not on..


I'm facing the same problem with my plantronics 510. Would love to hear if it is fixable. I've already bought myself a new one (tip - look at craigslist for a cheaper deal than even ebay and amazon)
