Hey please frame your question properly to get a relevant answer. As far as i understand from ur question, you have some file which cannot be deleted or formatted. For that, insert your pen drive, just double click that file and go to task manager. There stop the process which is running for that file and then try deleting it.
Run the scan disk with the 'recover missing broken files' (it's the longer slower option) and when done, YOU HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR FOLDER VIEWING OPTIONS and uncheck the box that hides the protected files (the one you never dare uncheck." well, uncheck it after you the disk scan and you may find old broken files wich you can then just delete. Once deleted, quickly go back and check the box that hides the system files ..... quickly because you don't want to forget and end up not realizing you are deleting the single most important file ... destroying your computer. You can do it safely on a portable drive (know that if you totally screw up something, you can reformat the whole thing ... and lose the data, but save the hardware.
Or do a complete reformatting (slow) of the flash drive if you don't have any data you need still on it.
deleting files on sd cards is the same a deleting any other file on a computer as long as the media is not protected against file deletion or file altering
usually sd cards as you used to find also in old floppy dics, have a tab or switch you need to set accordingly to allow file overwriting. inspection the sd card and make sure that the tiny switch or lock is in the off position, reinstall sd card in the reader or sd card drive and attempt to delete files by selecting them and hitting the del key or simple selecting them and right clicking to then select delete.
if the tab is in the off position try it in the "on" position and see if deletion can be accomplished. if neither works your sd card may be defective. contact the provider and have the warranty honored accordingly in within the warranty terms.
CHECK if it is not physically protected, a small button/switch might be on the stick! THEN, try any other flash drive or memmory stick to locate the target problem (memorry stick, or usb port mulfunction or even security/driver issue).
PLUS, there are some programes that might protect flash drives, check if u have any, and uninstall them, and make sure u have deleted ther HIDDEN system files located on the stick!
Hi.. If the files were loaded to the SD card directlt from your computer via a card reader, try deleting them while in Safe Mode.If loaded directly to your phone, check if there is a setting on the phone or on the file properties to protect the files. If so, adjust it as needed, then attempt to delete the files again.
hi, could you mention the brand of the pen drive. anyway for deleting the files . try this--> right click the file and click properties. now check you "read only" (ie. dis-select it ) and select file or folder is ready for archive. now try to delete it. hope it helps. and after knowing your brand and model of your pen drive more information can be given.
