Question about Neff U1721 Double circotherm Electric Oven

After effects of blown fan oven element on U1721

The element on the main circotherm oven blew someime ago. At last I have got round to replacing it. Prior to installing the new element there was no power when turning the oven on, not even the little orange 'on' light for the main oven. The fan did not kick in either. I had no bother removing the fan or putting the new element on. However, after installing the new element I returned mains power to the cooker but the main oven does not turn on. No lights, fan, nothing. The lower oven works fine so there is power reaching the system. Any clues.?

I think there is an inline fuse for each oven/element.

SOURCE: I have a Neff U1721 circotherm oven. The lights

For all Free appliance repair videos visit our VIDEOTUTORIALS Nefffan oven element video1, If the fan motor in the back of the oven is going round andthe temperature light is on (normally little red light), but there is no heatthen you will probably need a new oven element, these are generally very easyto fit and readily available from our website these can be tested with aelectric meter.
To gain access to the NEFF element you willhave to remove the back plate from inside the oven. Once removed you will seethe fan and element, if youlook closely at the element you willprobably see a small hole burnt in it where it has blown. Sometimes howeverthere is no evidence of a fault but the element is open circuit ie:broken inside the element casing, either way it will need replacing. Someelements will are fixed from inside the oven and some are held in place by nutsfrom the rear of the machine.
2, If your NEFF fanoven is getting warm but takes a very long time to cook or is burning the foodmore on one side than the other, then you need to check if your oven fan motor is working you willsee the blade turning fast if it is ok. if the element is heating but the fan motor is not blowing the heat into the oven thenyou need To replace the oven fan motor is a little moreexpensive and a bit more involved.
3. If you have the opposite problem ie: your oven is over heatingand burning everything then you will need to replace your NEFF oven thermostat
4, A quite common and easily overlooked answer is if your NEFF oven is not working at all ie: noheat and no fan then the chances are that someone has put the oven timer into AUTO mode, simply put oven back to MANUAL mode and all should be working again.

Test element check for continuity across the terminals and it is getting power when switch onon. If both ok, chances are the front selector switch has blown.

No heat in main oven, fan is working ok as is top oven. main oven was working ok then power was lost due to circuit breaker tripping??

You need to replace the oven element.
This is located at the rear of the oven compartment, behind a removeable cover.

Fan oven blowing cold air

If it is the main oven blowing cold, then you need to replace the oven element.

Unable to remove the fan blade on the neff u1721 oven (too tight)

The nut is a left hand thread, so unscrew it clockwise to release it, hold fan blade as you are doing this. Tighten anti- clockwise.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

Changing an element on the main oven - Neff U1721 Double oven

You should not need to remove fan to access the element fixing scew(s).
You may need what is called a torx screwdriver, if the screws are conventional screws, but some times a small screwdriver will undo them if they are not too tight.
let me know if you require any more assistance.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.
