What does the trouble code f2 mean for the kenmore elite 4t washing machine?

Have you checked the drain hose yet?

1 check the drain hose to make sure its not kinked.
2 unplug the machine
3 check the electrical plug at the pump and make sure that the pump runs
4 check the drain pump filter for foreign objects
5 plug washer back in
6 if the above does not fix the problem go to #7
7 unplug machine
8 Replace the pump

I believe it means motor control unit failure. Make sure nothing is plugged into same circuit unplug unit for 10 min. and try again . If it still does not work you will need a tech

If you still know where the brochure is I would look in the chapter "troubleshooting"
If the brochure is not where it should be, I would "google" the brand name and the no of the appliance More likly than not you will find the answer there. This method has helped me very often.

check drain pump inside is the next issue for prom is filled with foriegn objects that is known for this unit!!!! their a tech online kctech thats great try his answer online to use a shop vac and **** out any water in the inside and the hoes: and the drain pump inside the machine: see solution #6 may 2008 posted by washer gut in knasas that is eceptional to follow great day danw.

Code F2 means a stuck button. I removed the interface and lightly sprayed each with contact cleaner. So far this is working. The interface costs about $160 and contact cleaner, $10. Good luck.

Sounds like your drain pump is clogged.

HE 4 front load remove bottom panel 3 screws once remove now you have access to pump get towels and bucket oper lint filter and remove debris from inside ,,,,, and that its F2 long drain,,,,,,
