Question about Thermador Professional Series PO301 Stainless Steel Single Oven
My oven was working fine till I ran the self clean cycle. Since then the owvn does not seem to heat up. I have someone comign to look at it this evening. I want to make sure I know the areas they should be looking at. What could be the issue?
Yesterday I had this very unhelpful repairman that said the computer is not working but could not explain how he deduced that by just looking at the oven and the schematic and not chekcing anything out. He actually got upset when I asked him how he knew it was the computer....incredible!
Your repairman might be right but I would have checked the main heating element first for this reason: The self-clean cycle uses that same element as you need for the oven but is allowed to rise to a much higher temperature (~ 900-950 degrees) during the cleaning cycle and it may have self-destructed. Since your problem started after the cleaning cycle, I would have checked the element for continuity first.
