I want to play my IBM ThinkPad laptop through my RCA RT2250 receiver....
I need to know what hookups are needed to play my IBM ThinkPad through my RCA RT2250 receiver. Cables, where to connect on each device, whatever I need to know. I have everything else set up, but I haven't done this before.

please give us more details, I don't know what reciever you want to use? AM,FM? or some other devices.
but if it's the am,fm reciever well you can find it in your instructions manual how to set it though.
just follow the steps and you will have it..
have a nice tunning
just don't rate me badly^^
make sure your antenna is connected properly..
hook up the antenna at the back and try to tune-in to your favorite radio station.
read the description at the back of your rca rt2250, how to connect your antenna.
connect it properly and raise up the antenna, put it where the signal is good.
when it is playing a cd? well I guess your optical lens has a problem.. adjusting the variable resistor at the side of the optical lens (you can find the optical lens inside your unit where the cd/dvd is playing)..
if your using for radio? bad solder is the main problem, and a capacitor is almost going to blow( but it won't blow if it was installed properly). changing it is the best way.
I have the same problem... I read that it can be a capacitor issue, they are on backwards. I just dropped mine off with the repair guy today... Does anyone know of a fix? Mine first had an electrical zap, then smoked, now CHCK SPEAKERS then off, and on standby...
