Question about GE (PSS26MSRSS) Side by Side Refrigerator
First, let us explore the problem with dispenser flap. open the freezer and look into the ice discharge chute. there may be an accumilation of ice impeding the proper operation of the flap. next, you have indicated the light socket is broken. is it just the bulb or the socket itself? if you wish to remove the ice/water panel, first unplug the unit,. then you may be able to unsnap the drip tray where one would sit their water glass. if you are successful in doing this then the panel can be removed with a star driver but it depends upon the fasteners used. Always keep in mind to disconnect power before working on unit. I hope this was helpful.
