This is normal. BUT it should only do this while launching, once it hits the main menu clearly. It should be fine.

2. If you alt tab while the process is running, you may see the resolution change. But if you close it properly than it should not change except for those reasons/times.

Contact me if none of those do work,

I installed warcraft III frozen throne but when i launch it it says "input not supported". Help. thanks

It is because your game display setting is different from your monitor.

1st Step Check the screen refresh rate of your monitor and the Screen Resolution..

to see the Screen Resolution
Right Click on "Desktop">Properties>Settings

to see the refreshrate of your monitor. Right Click on "Desktop">Properties>Settings> Click "Monitor" tab. then you will see the screen refresh rate.

to fix this follow this steps.. Click "Run" > type "regedit" > go to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" > SOFTWARE > Blizzard Entertainment > Video. and on the right panel Double click "refreshrate" > click "decimal" then change the"value data" to the same refresh rate of your monitor, then press "OK". then after that Double click again the "resheight" on the right panel then click "Decimal" change again the "value data" with the same of your monitor (see screen resolution) click "OK" do. the same on "reswidth". (see images below)

Hope this help.. Don Masta

Warcraft 3 problem with monitor (turning to sleep mode)

Hello

If only monitors turns off it means that game is in higher resolution than monitor can support.

However, warcraft is preety old game and such things shouldn't happen.

Possible sollutions:
1. Download lastest Video card drivers from producent website
2. Install lastest DirectX
3. If still problem occurs:
Click Start->Run...
enter "regedit" -> press enter
open following directories: HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Blizzard Entertainment -> Warcraft III -> Video

doubleclick on "resheight" -> check "decimal" and enter 640, apply with OK
then doubleclick on "reswidth" -> check "decimal" and enter 800, apply with OK

Run game and see if it helped.

Cheers,
Mike

Samsung SyncMaster 17" LCD Blacks out

If you have a second monitor, you could use your computer until the monitor goes black... then plug in a replacement monitor. My guess is that one will display black too...

My gut feeling is that your VGA card is on the fritz... I'm not convinced it's your monitor. Do you have a replacement VGA card you can try? I'll bet that'll take care of the problem.

Monitor shut down

It is possible that you are playing the game at a higher resolution than your video card can support. Even if your computer is capable of displaying a high resolution during normal browsing activity, that doesn't mean it can support the same resolution during graphics-intensive use. Try turning down the resolution and the quality in your game options and see if the problem goes away. I ran into this same issue when trying to power a 1920x1200 monitor with a GeForce FX 5200 Ultra and discovered the solution is either a lower resolution or more graphics power.

your pc may be set to a resolution that is out of range for the monitor. Boot into "Safe mode" reset the Display settings to 640 x 480. reboot into normal mode then change the screen settings to your desired resolution.

Try changing refresh rate or resolution. You might be using one that your screen can't work with. good luck
