Sprint and HTC are aware of the problem.People experiencing the same problem seem to be unimpressed by the quality of Sprint's tech support.
The latest info that I have is:
Sprint HTC EVO 4G owners will be notified by their phones that an update is available. Once installed, HTC EVO 4G will have the 3.30.651.3 version. For those of you who use and noticed problems using Qik and Tango, this update is said to fix this bug.
The only HTC EVO owners who will need to update their phones to fix this bug are those who have the newest HTC EVO 4G sold with a version of 3.30.651.2. For HTC EVO 4G owners with version 3.29.651.1...sorry, but you will not be notified of the update due to the fact that the update will not apply to you.
You'll have to call them and see if they'll do it. Problem is. Yes Boost is owned by Sprint. However. They refuse to offer any support and flashing of phones. Why? I don't know.
I've had quite a few Sprint phones, tried to activate to my account, and they refused everytime.
Good luck. I hope they do it for ya
You would need to register for a Gmail account. And if you're looking to use the phone on other GSM carriers, then you may Unlock Your GSM HTC Evo Now.
When you posted your question, I thought you'd include your model number and the name of your Cellular Service Provider.....
And, yes, you should have received a user guide with your HTC phone. Simply re-post your question again and include the needed information (Phone model and Service Provider: example: HTC Touch Pro, Sprint - need user guide/manual link) and we'll provide you with an online link to view your phone's user manual.
Hello there, I have the user guide for the regular HTC Touch and the HTC Touch pro, not sure which you have. Will include both. Please make sure you rate my answer 4 thumbs up! Thanks so much for understanding, it would be a huge help to me. Here is the manual / guide:
