If it got damaged ..simply pick up a replacement one at any electronics supply stores.. Best Buy, Comp USA, Targets and Wallmart all carry keyboards.. it should be a plug and play process ( meaning; unplug th eold, plug in the new) restart computer... It is NOT worth trying to repair since many keyboards are very inepensive..

It won't finish the start up

It is looking for something to boot from. Remove any CD and USB drives. Then try physically reconnecting the drive. From there you will need to verify in BIOS.

Check first boot in BIOS as well.

Vostro 1520- keyboard stuck on randomly repeating keys after small liquid spill.. no liquid inside, only a few drops on keys and it won't type right. Tried USB keyboard but it won't override the...

short of replacing the keyboard, there is not much you can do. If not killer expensive, then you could at your own risk put isopropal alcohol inside the tray - move around and then turn upside down. this will be easier on the electronics and may dissolve the liquid depending on what it is. If the viscocity is too high, then it wont work but worth a try.

I have an Acer Aspire 5517 laptop and while it was powered on there was something spilled on it. I was not there when it happened and now it won't power up at all. I was wondering if I give it time to dry...

Depending on the amount and type of liquid spilled, it's pretty hard to pin point any problems without detailed check-up.

However, I do recommend removing battery along with disconnecting power to avoid further damage(s) and send it to a qualified service.

Good luck.

My son has spilt coke on the laptop 1 key not working O

If you spill drinks on a keyboard, something is bound to break, and apparantly only the O key did... The only way to fix it is to get a new keyboard, I'm sorry. I hope this helps, Yannick.

When I left click on anything, it opens up the right click menu. This is rather annoying as i don't actually right click, i've tried changing the batteries, but it hasn't worked. Help please.

try reconecting it if this doesnt work after rebooting you might have had something get stuck between the keys or something could have gotten spilled in to it if the later then it would have to be replaced..
