Question about Televison & Video
Sonys are famous for the green CRT developing shorts which will cause that symptom and eventually shut the set down. If you post the model number of your set I can see if there are still green tubes (CRT) available for your model, as some have been discontinued with no substitutes, while they are still available for other model numbers.
