Try clicking the file and choose "Spam" in the menu. That will treat the e-mail a spammer and should be rid of your inbox.

How can I delete email I tried to forward from yahoo mail to gmail it will not let me delete and email will not show just keeps clocking

I suspect that it is showing in mail sent as well. Try reopening your computer and then reopening the browser and trying again.
I have been having godawful problems with Chrome and IE so I use Opera all the time.
However, I have had along with many others, problems with yahoo. To add to that Yahoo do not do anything, and their boss said we do not listen to complaints etc.
I even put Yahoo's number on their questions and answer page due to the problems they failed to address.

A cookie is a string of information that is sent to your computer from each website that you visit. Cookies are harmless. Why would you want to delete them then?

The reason you would want to delete cookies from your computer is that they can store information such as user name, IP address, password, email address, shopping cart items and any strings of information that can be related to your identity.

Cookies that are on your computer may slow your computer down.
Therefore you may want to delete cookies from your browser.

Here is a very simple guide on how to delete cookies manually from your computer. Click on "tools" in your browser.
This is usually located in the upper right corner of your browser.

Click on Internet options.
This will appear in the drop down box and is usually at the bottom.

Under the "General" tab look for "Browsing History."

Under this heading you can click "Delete" to have the computer delete all cookies for you automatically however to delete the cookies manually click on the "Settings" tab

Click on the "View Files" tab under the "Temporary Internet Files and History Settings" box that pops up.

When you do a second box will pop up with a list of cookie containing files.
This may take a few seconds to load so be patient while waiting for the cookie files to load.

Highlight any cookie file that you would like to delete.
You can highlight more than one at a time by holding down the 'Ctrl" button on your keypad

Delete the files that are highlighted by clicking on the "delete this item" located to the left in the same box. As soon as you do you will see the selected files disappear.

When you are done just "X" off; this completes your task of manually deleting cookies.

You might also do a disk clean up click start click on computer to open right click on your hard drive usually C: select properties in the general tab select disk clean up click ok you can view files to be deleted.
If you habitually read some email and then forget about it, you should have a steadily growing collection of unread messages in your mailbox.

When a time comes that you want to sort the mail, you may find the unopened missives piled together with what you have already read.

Instead of wading through hundreds, perhaps thousands of messages to get what you need, tell Yahoo! to show you only what you want to see.

Log in to Yahoo! Mail.
Click "Inbox" either on the folder pane on the left or in the middle of the page.

Click "Unread Messages" above the list of messages.
Click "Next" or "Previous" to browse the messages, if there is more unread mail than can be displayed on a single page in the inbox.

Look on the folder pane on the left.
If you see any folder name in bold with a number in parentheses next to its name, it contains unread mail.

Click that folder to open it.

Yahoo! Mail Beta

Log in to Yahoo! Mail Beta.

Click "Inbox" on the left pane under "Compose message."

Click the purple color to the left of the "From" tab above the messages list.
This displays only unread mail.

Fix Yahoo Email When It Won't Open Attachments
Yahoo Mail is a popular webmail service that allows people to create their own email username and have it hosted by the Yahoo network.

In addition to providing fast and reliable email, Yahoo Mail also allows you to send and receive large attachments.

If you use Yahoo Mail, and are having issues opening attachments, there are several easy troubleshooting steps you can try to get your Yahoo Mail attachments. Sign out of Yahoo and clear your cache.
Since Yahoo! needs to access your cache to keep you logged in and to communicate with your computer when downloading attachments, a full cache can prevent Yahoo Mail from opening attachments correctly.

Go to your browser's "Tools" or "Internet Options" menu and then select the "Delete Temporary Internet files" command to delete your cache.

Reload the page.
lf you have had Yahoo Mail open for a long time, the page may have gone idle, and you may not be able to access your attachment.

Press the "Reload" (F5) button and then log back in to your account.
Ensure that the attachment is not corrupt.

If the sender did not finish uploading before they hit "Send" or there was an error during the upload, the file may be corrupted.

Ask the sender to re-attach the file and send it again.

Check the file format.

Some formats are proprietary and will not open unless specific programs are installed on your computer.

For instance, if you are sent an AAC file, you will not be able to open it unless iTunes is installed on your computer.

How can i retract an email already sent?

It's generally not possible to delete an email that you've already sent. The only situation I know where this is possible is in an office setting where everyone is set up to use Microsoft Outlook. It appears that you're using Yahoo mail, so if that's the case, your sent email is sent and there's no way to delete it.

'messages sent' deleted by mistake

  1. Log into your Yahoo Mail account - http://mail.yahoo.com
When you delete messages in Yahoo! Mail, they go to your Trash folder. If you delete a message by mistake, for a little while you'll be able to find it in Trash and move it back to your Inbox or another folder. Just remember that messages in your Trash folder can be deleted at any time, without warning.
  2. To permanently remove the contents of Trash yourself, just click Empty next to Trash on the left side of the page. When messages are emptied from the trash folder, they are permanently deleted from the Yahoo! Mail server and cannot be recovered.

My yahoo mail do not forward or reply to messages

I've had similar problems intermittently across several computers, several countries, and several browsers over several months. Opening and closing an email doesn't help, but coming back to it later usually does.

Other people reported in online forums that going to Options>Mail Options and toggling the Mode between color graphics/plain text helps, but the problem comes back. I tried this today and it did work, but that's the limit of my experience.

The problem is obviously at the Yahoo end. I've sent inquiries to Yahoo and had no reply. They need to communicate with their customers, even if it's simply "we know, and we're working on it".
