No power, do not turn on

Check internal fuse kept close to the power supply wire on the PCB. Generally this will be covered in a small box.

Replace the fuse with identical one. If fuse blowing repeats, check power supply components like diodes, capacitors etc.

Will not turn on

Without even a standby light on, it means that there's no power being fed into/out of the power supply. If it's an external power supply (a little, or large, black rectangle attached to the power cord) then it can be easily opened and checked for blown fuses. If it's just a blown fuse, then that can be replaced for less than a dollar in most situations.

Hi my philips television model number 34PT 5693 just sudden can't turn it on and the 'on' button was no light at all. I try to change the fuse inside the television and just blow off the fuse.

Check the mains rectifier ( 4 diode's or 1 block ) for short circuit ,also check the NTC/PTC resistor ,the power FET and power IC,if the last 2 parts are broken then measure al high omhic resistors between 300V and IC.

OUr television was working fine, until we simply could not get any power when we would turn on the power button. There is no response.

its a fuse :>
or power supply :<

To find out
unplug it for 30min
now when you plug it back in
you should see and hear a spark
this is normal and means it's
not a fuse. shop price about 95.00

Blows fuse when turned on

this is a normal behavior if one of the power supply transistors have blown. take the unit to an enlectronics repair. they can either change the transistors affected (usually more than one) or replace the power supply board.

Panasonic television

I had the same problem, however mine was a 32inch. It is a blown fuse. It is not the power cord. What you need to do is find out what fuse voltage you need. Hope this advice helps. I have a panasonic model CT-32SX12C.

Sharp TV

It could be a blown fuse, sometimes when power is restored a power spike occurs this can blow fuses in appliances. Check power to either side of main fuse. Then progressivly check all other minor fuses Cheers Paul
