Okay i have a 1998 dodge ram 2500 and i ran a obd ll and it gave me those same codes so i dropped the trans pan and filter , replaced the pressure sensor and the solenoid ,new oil and filter and my p/u runs great and i also changed the shift sensor . You then take the bolts out of the pump plate which is the one that holds the filter or you wont be able to get to the pressure and solenoid , i bought the gasket ,filter ,shift sensor ,pressure sensor and solenoid for $70 but if you buy these parts separate it can get costly at around $250 and thats not including the type of trans oil type plus.

First things first don't assume the trannys bad if you scan this code that you need a mechanic or transmission needs replaced first think back have you been having trouble imtermitently for a while? Then you might want to take it to a mechanic or was there an event that happened before you started having issues with it such as stuck in the snow, deep mud water hit a road hazard? Everything worked fine until then you should take a look at the hoses, connections, etc. You may have knocked a wire loose, damaged a hose or sensor. Easy to see and repair. Most of the time transmissions last as long as the van if you take care of it. If its fine one day and not shifting the next like mine the transmission is most likly fine I am sure after being the victum of a month of being burried by our rude snow plow operator I damaged someting external when I got stuck on a huge iceball. It knocked a hose off fixed that and replaced fluid so checking wires now since this poor van was so abused before I obtained its a wonder it runs at all. But the tranny and engine are the only things that have no issues its everything else thats falling apart! Check the little things first before you go to a mechanic. A loose wire, low fluid pressure, and such will cause the tranny to malfunction and you will get codes saying that because it is not wirking right fix the cause of the malfunction all codes go away remember the diagnostic system will list many codes because the transmissiin is very complex this does not mean its toast it can't decide so it list everthing that is effected because one little thing got jnocked loise or a hole in a hose. Save yourself being raked over the coals.

Triton not shifting gear

This is an indication that the TCM is not function properly As it is an automatic the gears in constant mesh with gear changes being effected by clutch packs and bands so the ratios are always correct just the selection is not working properly./ Hence the TCM fault.

P1782 po700 codes what are they?

2000 caravan with codes p1782 and po700,this is transmission codes, i will tell you this, with out a good scan tool to check the problem correctly you will be just throwing money at it.

this may be due to a bad shift solenoid pack or wiring or internal transmission problems. sorry to say but these transmission are junk.
I would have a transmission shop or dealer check it, maybe the dealer unless you know a good transmission shop that will not try to sell you a rebuilt ******.

My 1999 grand caravan showed codes p1782 & p0700,& it is acting fine & th check engine soon light went off on its own. is there a problem?

p0700 means there is a code stored in the tcm ( transmission control module). P1782 is 2-4 pressure switch sensor sense. This could be just a bad connection or a bad solenoid pack. Many times itis the beginning of the end.

Engine light on code p0732, p1782, p1787 and p0700 twice

P0732 Gear 2 Incorrect ratio
P1782 P/ES Circuit Out Of Self Test Range
P1787 2-1 Downshift Error
P0700 Transmission Control System (MIL Request) Malfunction

Here is the deal, u have some serious transmission related faults, in order to sort this out u will need to take this to the dealer, allot of testing is required to get to the bottom of this, if I had to guess I would say the trans is going to have to be overhauled.
