It most likely just wants 14 inch paper loaded into tray 1, That is the flip down tray.
Thats not out of the ordinary, You just have to have the right paper in the machine for it to be happy. One of those quarks.
It just needs the right paper in the right tray.

There are special cleaning sheets that you need to get for this printer. Ask the company you get your ink from, they should be able to get you some.

Printer says "Claening sheet required install

The phaser printer using the wax cartridges requires cleaning every so often.
Load standard 8.5x 11 paper and go into the maintenence area on the front panel of the printer. There are 3 types of cleaning available. Use the deep clean option and the printer will spit out several sheets of paper. (THROW THESE AWAY) Don't atempt to reuse the cleaning sheets as it has caused problems for me in the past.
Once done reset the printer.
Good Luck

Displaying cleaning sheet required but there is paper in the machine and it wont print.

Try loading a sheet into the MFP.
If you have more than one tray look at your tray default settings, it should tell you in there which tray is set for your cleaning sheet.
Hope this helps.

Paper jamed in ESP7 AIO printer

Clear the paper jam.

1. If paper is in the paper tray, remove it.
2. Turn off your printer.
3. Wait 30 seconds, then remove the AC power cord from the back of your printer.

2. Do not load more than one type of paper into the paper tray.

7. Load paper into the paper tray.
8. Align the paper with the dotted lines on the paper tray, then adjust the paper width guide until it lightly touches the paper.

Why is there a black stripe on the backsid of the paper when I try and print?

you need to clean the bottom plate, heres how:
1 Make sure that the printer is on and then remove any paper from the Rear Tray.
2 Press the Open button to open the Paper Output Tray and extend the Output Tray Extension.
3 Fold a single sheet of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in half widthwise, and then unfold the paper.
4 Load this and only this sheet of paper in the Rear Tray with the open side to the front.

(A) Load the paper after unfolding it.
5 Open the printer properties dialog box.

6 Click the Maintenance tab, and then Bottom Plate Cleaning.
7 Confirm the displayed message and click Execute.
The paper cleans the inside of the printer as it feeds through the printer.
Check the folded part of the ejected paper. If it is smudged with ink, perform Bottom Plate Cleaning again.
Important --
Even if the Cassette is selected as the paper source, paper will be fed from the Rear Tray.
Do not perform any other operation while the bottom plate is being cleaned.
If the problem is not resolved after performing cleaning twice, the protrusions inside the printer may be stained. Clean them according to instructions. See Cleaning the Protrusions Inside the Printer.

Replace Paper Tray Message won't clear

On the right side of the tray, there are 3 rectangular holes. The "plug" goes in the top hole but, if it came out, it probably won't stay in. I've taped a piece of sheet metal in the hold before to get by. You can buy the part for a few bucks from xerox or inktechnologies. There is a lot of pressure on this plug so it takes something pretty strong to hold.

Xerox Phaser 8200 false "Replace Paper Tray" message

I've had a similar problem with a client's 8200 printer, and looking at the right hand side of the tray someone had previously put some tape over the topmost 'slot' (above where the green slider goes across).

I put some new tape over the top slot and the 'replace paper tray' message went away.

Admittedly, the tape gets pushed in so I don't know how long it will be before the tape gets dislodged and the error re-appears.

The printer is well out of warranty and they don't want to pay anything to get it fixed... so this solution is fine with them.

Hope this helps someone else out there :-)
