  • There are no white ones at this time. Only Red, Green and Blue on the frequency displays. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.

Galaxy 88hl frequency display only has decimal point, channel readout fine

on the face plate is a button for the counter ,try pushing it several times to see if the dot moves. As long as the channel display is reading the correct channel you should be ok but you want to correct this problem . If you can't correct it contact Galaxy and they will have a tech talk to you.

Have galaxy 88 radio started rx off freq. then a couple days later it started to quite tx and rx while talking. can you help.

Hello,
It sounds like your crystal has gone bad. More than likely it is the 10.25 crystal. Unfortunately if you have no Oscilloscope then you need to take it to a radio tech as you have to inject a frequency into the triple band to get the radio to Oscillate again, once the crystal is replaced.

Haven't used my dx-88hl cb for years. what d9 i set the band on?

I'm not going to be corrected on this as i'm tempted to say A or C and sometime D. Instead i would say switch channel to 19 then watch frequency counter as you change band selector until you find 27.185 and you have arrived.

  • Is it drifting off frequency by the radios meter or an external meter. If its the radios meter then hook up a meter externally.

Droped channel to 17 and frequency counter don't work?

sounds like a connection is coming loose inside. take it to a CB shop and see if they can spot it. Should be an easy fix, no more than 20 or 30 dollars
