Question about Microsoft Office Professional 2007 Full Version for PC

Sharing Problem we have problem in Shared Excel workbook, the main workbook designed in Office 2007, all our employees are using the same workbook thru sharing. some of the employees are using Office-2003 and some of them are using Office-2007 versions. but the problem is ....original theme and colors are changing while it was saved by office-2003 users. how can i fix the problem ... if any one knows the solution..please suggest me.

Do you want the files in Office 2003 format or Office 2007 format? The 2003 format will not have all the features of the 2007 format. When a file created in 2007 is opened in 2003, some features will be lost. However, if consistency is what you want and colours do not matter, then those using 2007 to create files must save the file in 2003 format. If the extra features is what you are looking for, then you will have to upgrade all the computers to using Office 2007. I hope this helps.

Some colors are not available in office 2003

under (office 2007) excel options (alt-t-o), save tab, you can choose which colors will be seen in previous excel versions.

Excel workbook error


I came across this issue today. An update to the Office Compatibility Pack that was still on a computer caused the default PROGRAM for .docx and .xlsx files to be the Microsoft Open XML Converter program and make the "Default Programs" in Control Panel think that Excel and Word were actually the Microsoft Open XML Converter scholarship essay writing assistance program as well.UNINSTALLING the Office Compatibility Pack in Programs and Features and then a simple reboot fixed the issue.
Also:
1: Try to repair it manually when MS Excel does not automatically STARTS File recovery mode.
Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click OPEN.
Now select the corrupted workbook that you want to open.
Click the arrow NEXT to the Open button, and then click Open and Repair.
Choose either Repair (to recover as much of the FILE data) or Extract data (to extract values and formula when repair process is not successful).

How to convert .shs file to .xls format in office 07.pls help......


1. Open a blank Excel workbook by selecting "New" from the "File" menu.
2. Drag and drop the .shs file on to the new workbook by highlighting the scrap file icon on the desktop and dragging it onto the worksheet. Alternatively, you can copy and paste. To do this, click the scrap file icon, and then right-click and select "Copy" from the pop-up menu. Left-click on the Excel workbook, and then right-click and select "Paste" from the pop-up menu. The information stored in the scrap file should now appear within the worksheet.
3. Save the file. Select "Save As" from the "File" menu, and then enter a file name in the box at the top of the window that opens. By default, Excel saves files in the workbook format native to the version. For versions prior to Microsoft Office 2007, this is the .xls format. If you have Excel 2007 or later and want to save the file as .xls, select this format from the "Format" drop-down menu below the box where you entered the file name.

Unable to open EXCELL 2007 workbook containing a circular reference problem.


open Excel
Click the 'Microsoft Office' button and click 'Excel Options'. Click the 'Formulas' button. From 'Calculation options' section, un-select the 'Automatically' option. then use file->open->yourfile.xlsx. It should now open. Find the circular reference and fix it. Then save the file.

What is a workbook?


A workbook is a spreadsheet file. By default, each workbook in Excel contains three pages or worksheet

The term spreadsheet is often used to refer to a workbook, when in actual fact, spreadsheet refers to the computer program, such as Excel.

So, strictly speaking, when you open the Excel spreadsheet program it loads an empty workbook file consisting of three blank worksheets for you to use.

Same problem - excel files balllooning from 20Kb to 45Mb


This could happen if your workbook is being shared.
1. Make a backup copy of your workbook (Excel file).
2. Open it in Excel
3. Check under Tools > Share Workbook and see if the "Allow changes by more than one user..." option is selected. If so, try unchecking it and save the workbook
4. Check the file size under File > Properties > General tab


Another possibility is that there are a lot of unused cells with "invisible" formatting. To check that you can try pressing Ctrl+End and see where the end of your document is. If it is way beyond your current work area, select those extra columns and rows and go to Edit > Clear > All (Note: This will delete everything on those cells)

Tools/ Share WorkBook/ Check editing box - Allow changes by more than one user-

This will open up options for you in advanced - Select the following

Keep track history for "30 days"!
Save my changes and see other user changes.
Ask me which changes win

OFFICE XP EXCEL SHEET OPEN VERY SLOW PROBLEM


If you have linked one workbook to only one other workbook, I would suggest opening both. This should cause the main one to update basically instantly, and eliminate the timing issue. Otherwise, you might try looking at possibly storing both files in the same folder - it could help. Additionally, depending on what you want the sheet to do, you could set it to update only when you tell it to, rather than automatically - this allows you to control the timing of any waiting that happens. However, unless there are a large number of cells and multiple workbooks involved, it should not take that long... If you need further help, just let me know. Thanks for rating FixYa!

Shared Microsoft Excel Wokbook problem


You copy and paste that excel file with another name in your local hard disk. Make your necessary changes and then paste it with same name on your network.
