try to look the VGA cable. maybe it just loosing the connection. or the power cable.. if nothings happen. open your unit and clean the IC of your Memory RAM with pencil eraser. make sure that you touch a metal for about 5sec before you pull out the RAM.. its because you have a ESD in your hands. after that.. put back your clean RAM. and power on your unit. hope this will help.. or.. i remember.. you can also try to remove the battery and flash your CMOS jumper settings to 2-3 settings.. then after 5sec. put it back to settings 1-2.. thx
Most likely the thermal paste has dried. Remove the cooler and clean it (there will be a lot of dirt inside it), clean the old paste from the processor and the cooler , apply 3 drops of a new good paste on the center of the processor and put back the cooler.
hi, i am pretty sure this is a bios problem! but it could be video card or monitor. put it all back the way it was-when it worked-then reset the bios-unplug the pc-take out the battery.(about the size of a coin) there should be a three prong jumper, near the battery-and move it to the two prongs that has not had the jumper on it-then push the power button- this is to discharge the power that will be stored in any components on the motherboard- the pc is must be unpluged- then wait 60 seconds and put the jumper back and the battery(see if the battery is dead first) new ones are about 4 bucks, and they last a long time. then boot up the pc!-you should also set the bios at the correct values, as it will use default settings. some hp and others default settings are fine. on custom pc's setting values will need to be set for optimal settings, for the particular hardware. if this fails, try a new video card and check the monitor also. if you know the model # and brand, you can go to the website, then download the manual. this will show you the location of everything i told you to look for. if you need further help, reply. please rate this solution. good luck! one last thought motherboards can fail, from any number of things. hope this is not the case on yours.
Hi there. GRB means the 3 primary colours and just means the monitor is working and able to receive a signal. I think in your case it could be related to memory. Remove any new hardware if any and any external devices like printers etc. Now remove the power cord from the back and remove or open the side panel from the tower so you can get to the motherboard, remove the ram (memory) from the slots and clean the dust from both the memory modules and the memory slots, when they are free of dust just put one module back at a time and restart the PC (if you have more than one) If it boots up the problem would have been dust, if it doesn't start up at all it well be faulty memory. Please post back if you need more help or advice.
try to look on the jumper settings on the motherboard before you upgrade your proccessor maybe they need to be adjusted.tryb to put back the one wich was there and see what happens.how many beeps does your computer makes when you switch in on?if it makes more than one then your proccessor is not compatible with the board.a computer should beep once whenevever its switched on
What is the color of light on the monitor or is it not turned ON at all?
- Check the cable connecting the monitor to the CPU...unplug it from the CPU and replug it
- try a different monitor if you have one
please revert back with any other observations
