A solid green Wi-Fi light indicates that it is connected to a wireless network. An orange light indicates that it is not connected to a network.
Another way to determine if your printer is connected to your network is to print the wireless network setup page. From the printer operator panel, press the Setup button (wrench icon) > Network Setup > Print Setup Page. Your printer will then print the network settings. Check the SSID, signal strength, or trouble code.
A quick fix to this problem (especially if your printer was working fine before with your wireless network) can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC.

My PC will communicate with my printer but my printer won't communicate with my PC, so I can't scan anything. HELP!

Uninstall all of the software and then reinstall it. If still issues contact Brother tech support for assistance. They are really wonderful and will get you up and running. Your wifi is working so the router is not an issue. Check out your usb cable and try another one or a different usb port on computer.

Printer suddenly stopped communicating w/Macbook Air. No red light. Same connection always used. Unable to send data to printer

Try plugging in via USB cable. If it prints fine it may be a wifi card in the printer if you having no other connectivity issues with your macbook.

Set a static IP on the Canon printer
e.g.
IP: 192.168.x.x
Subnet mask: 255.255.x.x

DHCP should always be enabled on the router for your other devices to work.

I have a new Kodak ESP 7 printer and have not been able to set it up to communicate with my Mac OS 10.5 laptop. I can print if I have it plugged into the USB. I understand I might need an extra unit to...

Hi. I can help you connect your wireless ESP 7 to your Mac laptop.

The first step is to connect your printer to your wireless network. Navigate to the menu on the LCD of the printer and select Network Settings/WiFi Setup Wizard. The blue WiFi LED should be illuminating steady if the printer is connected to your WiFi network.

The second step is to add the WiFi printer to your Mac using the Print & Fax System Preference...
1. Under the Apple Menu, select System Preferences
2. Select Print & Fax
3. Click the "+" sign to add a printer
4. Select the Kodak ESP 7 listed with the Bonjour connection
5. Click the Add button.

The final step is to verify that you are printing to the WiFi printer when you attempt to print. In the Print Dialog box, verify the selected printer is named "KodakESP7+1234" where the last four digits are unique to your printer. If the printer you have selected is "Eastman Kodak Company KODAK ESP 7 AiO", then you are attempting to print using USB and this will not work unless you have a USB cable connected.
I hope this helps.

Follow these steps to reset the printer:
  1. Turn the printer off with the Power button (if available).

  2. Disconnect the data cable from the printer (not applicable to WiFi, Bluetooth or Infrared) .

  3. Unplug the printer's power cord for approximately 10 minutes, and then plug it back in. If troubleshooting a communication issue, reconnect the data cable (not applicable to WiFi, Bluetooth or Infrared).

  4. Turn the printer back on.
Note: If resetting the printer does not work, please attempt any other solutions that appeared in your search results. If this is a hardware error on the printer, the printer may need to be repaired.
