The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Bluetooth won't connect

blue toith where inside PC, or added to PC using BT to USB gongle, device.??? (yup 2 ways and can be the fix , see?)

bluetooth is trick tech. (it even learns devices , by self)
so what pc (one of 10,000 laptops)
what OS. (operating systems matter big time)
what device, (piles)

so is this XP OS? the dead OS? and virus magnet?
btw1: Vista ended this year.
what PC, it has HP model , like DV5-12345us.
on the service tag of every HP made.

we cant have any ideas ever lacking key facts like that.
impossible. but. but but.... in the generic.

but can say , the bluetooth driver is missing or wrong
no internet connection, gee now can BT work>lacking that
if XP or VISTA gee, MS shut down PnP for those.

support happens like this.
if the PC BT module is ok and the OS driver workes (DM)
the BT chip in pc connects to the device, (chip to chip ) easy
of the OS driver works the PC OS can now comm to the chip
next... (its chain of events serial)
then The OS does PnP plug and play to find a match for your random BT device (oops XP is dead)
try to know each DEVICE is not the same.
a BT , headphone, speaker., mouse/.or keyboards are not the same.
nor vast other things, different (endless list)
even MS tells you w7 UP, most headphones are not supported by MS. at all (pnP) need a link to MS on that, have it.

that means you need to get the driver from the maker.
with W7 OS.
it can find many drivers easy with PNP working

got internet? on this box LT.

I recently purchased bose multimedia speakers. I can plug the iPhone into the control and the sound is phenomenal. When I plug the USB into my laptop (HP6535b) the speakers install, but the sound is...

xp was never designed to do that ever. my guess... and is true in vast cases with XP , XP is DEAD, as will be getting new drivers for new devices, see?
When I plug the USB what does that mean.

all i can tell as would HP, take that USB thing above
go the the makers web site, see that software, there,
do they have XP software, NO.
i bet they do not support XP

not only that all said was,.
bose multimedia speakers.

what does that mean>/ its non specific so is useless. input
the only word there good id BOSE(tm)
they make lots of things, most things do not run on any XP
unless real lucky,

my guesss is the BOSE(tm) has its own sound chip
and needs its own SOUND chip driver to work
and if even you had that chip driver,
XP would get real confused having 2 sound chips in one PC
try this , go to DM , device manager,
and turn off the normal sound chip from HP.
on windows 10 we click the task bar speaker and kill the onboard sound chip that way, letting head phones USB work.
or USB external devices that have, 2nd chip.
see? running 2 chips at same time (sound) is never going to work
like having 2 TV's playing same time, chaos.

If you have the warranty for your notebook its best to send it in i was having problems with my hp pavilion the left speaker volume was really low to the point of no sound coming out. my right speakers...

first off all laptop inside speakers are weak, all are... so is this your first LT? 1" speakers are all like that...

dv6t Notebook (no full model stated and matters)
No OS stated, (op. system) XP? W7 , w8 , w10? what?
we cant see what you have so only guessing is possible
ill not guess.
1: internal or external speakers/?
2:using any USB devices, like USB head phone???? oops?
3: do ear buds at the jack direct sound ok.??? $2 at walfart?
4: do real head phones(never USB) sound ok?
5: do adding any external speaker sound ok?
and last USB
many folks go out and buy USB head phones, that HP nor MS supports. Real phones use round 3.5mm mini phone jack.
these magic ISB phones have SOUND CHIP inside, that COLLIDES
with the internal DV6 beats chip. (I wont go into why)
and makes noise now.. chopping or any thing bad you can imagine.
Chaos is not predictable in this way. (noise , distortion and volume issues sure "sound bad, or wrong, or weak sure.)

to get clean sound?
make sure your DV6 has the correct HP software loaded. from the HP site, we are NOT HP here. no full model stated so cant tell you can I.?then make sure all drivers are load, matching both the PC you own and the unstated OS running. (neither stated by you)then test the speakers ways as per above.Buy and uses external amplified speakers,. (I promise you will be shocked, even socks flying off. I can blow the glass windows out.
ever see this, (even seen under battery bay, take out battery see this? or in plain view.

when talking about any PC (HP) and not telling this info
means, answers WILL BE WRONG, thus the 20 questions.

Free hp drivers for speaker

Hi there,
how are these speakers connected to the computer? Via USB or via the 3.5mm port?
Usually you don't need drivers for speakers but what you need is the driver for your soundcard.

Hope this helps!

I converted my windows from XP to Windows 7, and now it says that my laptopd doesn't have an output audio installed.

Its an older laptop not supported by hp for windows 7, so you'll need to hunt for the driver or use a usb based head phone or speakers to output sound. You may want to look in a the vista/windows 7 audio drivers section of .

XP laptop no longer recognizes any USB speakers, and internal speakers dont work. USB speakers do not appear in the audio controls. the only 'device' listed under Sound Playback is SoundMax Digital Audio,...

Nothing wrong with your USB ports. MagicJack has changed your audio and driver settings so it can use the sound system for phone calls. The changes exist whether the Jack device in plugged in or not.
You can confirm the problem by uninstalling MagicJack and reinstalling your sound drivers. Should fix the problem.
You'll probably need to contact the maker of the MagicJack device for a workaround. Might be something specific to your laptop/operating system.

Connected to laptop with vista via USB connection to speakers - NO sound

A letter from Altec: E-mail from Altec Lansing explaining how to use the ACS 495 speakers with Windows XP and Vista: "These speakers require no special drivers or software to work properly. At the current time we do not have AMS software or an USB audio device driver compatible with Windows XP or Vista. There are no plans at this time to develop this software. Your speakers will work with Windows XP & Vista. Just make sure you use the audio cable from the back of the subwoofer to the audio or sound out port of your sound card. Do not use the USB cable. Sound does not come through the USB port The USB cable just allows you to use the AMS software. This software gives you some control over some of the sound features. The same functionality of the AMS software can be gotten by using the buttons on the speakers and the volume control software that comes with your Windows system. If you double click the speaker icon from the system tray, that will open this software up. With the USB connector removed or the computer turned off, STEREO or PRO LOGIC modes can be selected by depressing and holding the center control down for approximately three seconds. The mode selected will be indicated by the color of the LED on the front right speaker. When the light glows yellow it is in the STEREO mode. When the light is green it is in the PRO LOGIC mode."

Usb ports (HP Pavilion dv2000 Laptop) unable to retreive data

NO OS STATE is this the XP virus maget , dead for 3 years now?
XP does not work on many USB devices even after the SP3 update
and THE SP3 UPDATE is mandatory. service pack 3
id bet you if you booted to linux CD, (knoppix 7 live)
all usb ports work, telling you what, in seconds, XP IS DEAD.
for a fact.

google XP USB dead, (billions of hits for 16 long years)
MS dont support this OS nor VISTA or older.
HP does not support DV200o now its legacy hardware now.
MS plug and play is dead too on XP. per there warnings.
The means all new XP things will be dead, if the maker of said things
does not give you Their soft or that thing..

if hell bent on using XP ,(why) upgrade to W7
then get SP3 there.

it came new with XP
and was VISTA READY, best is to go W7. !

Goodwill store has $20 laptops with W7 on it working now.
why wait, dump yours, and UPGRADE HW/SW all at once
and WIN.
why to not RUN XP (endless bad and advancing....)
