My acer aspire one 532h-2db blank screen but the power is on. please help me! thanks.

Thank you for contacting Fixya. This is Anil.

I understand that the Netbook starts but there is not display on the screen.
It may happen due BIOS failure on the computer. Try updateing the BIOS. Updating the BIOS will require a USB flash drive to store the BIOS information on during the update. To perform the update to the BIOS:
Go and download the latest BIOS for the netbook.
Extract the files from the downloaded zipped BIOS file.
In the Dos folder, Copy Flash.Bat; Flashit.exe; Nav50.fd to the USB flash drive
Ensure that the AC adapter is plugged in.
Insert the USB flash drive into a USB port.
Press and Hold down the Fn and the Esc keys together and press the power button.
When the unit's power light comes on wait a few seconds and release the Fn and Esc keys.
After the keys have been released the power light will start to blink.
During the BIOS update process the display will be blank.
Let the unit run and after approximately 1 to 7 minutes, the unit should reboot and the BIOS will be updated.
If the unit fails to reboot, or the BIOS was not updated sucessfully, try the steps again. If the unit continues to fail to reboot, the unit may need service.

I believe the above resolution should resolve the issue, however, if the issue still persists, please contact us. We will be glad to help you.

Thank you. Have Great Day.

  1. Step 1 On the lower left-hand side of your PSP, you will notice a little silver slider. Slide the switch up and this will turn on the WiFi feature on the PSP. Of course, you do need a home WiFi setup for this to work. Your battery also needs to be full. Even if your battery is low and your unit is plugged in to an outlet, the firmware upgrade may not work.
  2. Step 2 With a fully charged device, go to your PSP's home screen and choose "Network Update."
  3. Step 3 This screen will ask you for your WLAN settings. Choose "Scan" and let the PSP detect the network automatically. Choose the right one and keep all of your settings in the default stage. Press the "X" button and the PSP will save the configuration as your new access profile.
  4. Step 4 Choose it again and when your PSP connects to the network, and if there is an update available, you will automaically see the following message: "Network Update has found a later version. To download, insert a Memory Stick with at least 14MB of free space and press the X button."
  5. Step 5 Press the "X" button and you should see the message: "Downloading." IMPORTANT - Do not turn off your PSP or remove the memory card during this time!
  6. Step 6 When the download is finished, you will see the following message: "Download completed. The update is now available on your Memory Stick. To install now, press the x button. To install later, go to [Game]." Press the "X" button to install the new firmware. You may see a few other screens detailing new features to be included in the upgrade, but eventually you will see "Installing."
  7. Step 7 During the installation, again, do not turn it off or remove the memory card. Once installation is finished, the PSP will tell you to press "X" to restart the PSP. When it powers back up, the new firmware will be in place.

My psp blank screen

If you've got a blank screen on your psp then you'll have to follow this simple steps to know if you'll need to replace the screen or not.

Step 1. Place it on charge and try switching it on, if it does not power the screen on then move on to step 2.

Step 2. Pull out the battery and put it back in, then switch it on. If it powers the screen back on then you are good to go but if it does not then you could be moving close to a replacement for your psp.

Take the psp to a certified sony repair person and he would fix the screen for you.

Psp blank

you got a brick psp.

If your updating a psp, you should make sure that it will be able to finish it, if you stop while its still updating, you will have a brick unit.

if you psp is not using custom firmware (modified to play hack games) send it to sony as they can unbrick it.

if any of your friend has a pandora, they can actually have you fix it both CFW and original psp.

Hope that helps.

8008273a error

Go to Settings > System Settings > Restore Default Settings
reset your settings, if this does not work and you are running custom firmware follow these steps:
1.- hold the power of switch till screen goes blank
2.- turn psp back on while holding the right bumper
3.- once on the recovery screen go to Advanced > Format Flash 1 and Reset Settings ( you will get a blu screen but dont worry about it and just press O.)

If all fails then just try re flashing your PSP with your current or an update custom firmware.
